I bought a set of these a couple of years ago and installed them. I gave a three star rating as the tabs do snap off rather easy in comparison to the stockers. Honda uses ABS plastic but these are more like polystyrene which is more brittle by nature. Anyway, I ended up using a couple of layers of 3M double sided tape to build up the cavity and then put velcro on top of that to hold in position where the tabs had broken off. Works fine and keeps them where they should be.
Installed this in a shoei multitech. Once I visualized my plan installation went smooth. I was unwilling to cut and remove any styrene from the ear area per instructions. The velcro mounting disks combined with the thin speakers fit and mounted just fine without modification into ear area of the helmet. The bass response seems sufficient (for me anyway) even though I didn't follow the instruction: "An airtight seal is necessary to preserve bass response..." I have not tested the mic yet but experience so far has been positive. I would buy another.
I installed this at the same time as the spoiler. I loved it for the better visibility, but after about 18 months (and 28,000 miles with plenty of trunk closings) the tab holding it to the spoiler was obliterated - cracked into four pieces. Before I figured out where the rattle was coming from, only the left side screw was holding this lens in place.
I purchased this for my new '09 model on 4/2009. About 18 months (though 28,000 miles) later I started hearing a rattle from the back. The tab for the replacement 4-function lens I had installed had shattered, and the nuts in this spoiler - to hold the lens - had popped out because the plastic around them has also cracked and fallen out - both sides! Too many repeated trunk closings I guess, but now I have to replace the spoiler and lens! Well worth the visibility though.
Awesome windshield +4 at 70 mph you can block off 90% of the wind if you want

I do like to use this product it will last longer. Its recommended 5k to 6k before change. Also you must remember once you use this I am told your are never to go back to conventional oil. One last thing its cost wow 40 dollars or more to change not counting oil filter. Well worth it. |
Took about 2 hours to install. Like everybody else, it was trying to align the bolt holes that took the most time. I installed mine on a 2010 Audio comfort (GL18HPNMA).
Installed this almost 3 years ago and it’s still secured, but the chrome is now pitted to the point it needs to be replaced. I would say the chrome plating should last a little longer than 3 years.
Really well put together flags. Will have to wait to see how long they last.
I have had this battery on a 05 Goldwing. It worked fine for about a year. It discharged to 16% then recharged it again. Remained at 16%. It then would not hold enough charge to crank the bike so I had to replace it.
Great looking. Directions from video were a lot more helpful than the ones from Kuryakyn. Visibility at night is awesome.

These works GREAT for me. I'm 6'3" with bad posture. Install was SUPER simple. I think it took maybe 30 minutes. Instructions couldn't be more simple (if you even need to read them). No problem with cables or clearance, not trimming, good turning radius. I think it even helps with the wind by raising your bars a touch kinda even with the mirrors, maybe that's just me though. Best of all is the price. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal. |
