From the first day I sat on a bike at the rider's course I knew I had to own a motorcycle. After years on the 750 I've moved up to the GL1800. 2009: 10,200 miles across the country and back in 5 weeks. 2010: 6,400 miles from San Diego up to Vancouver, and back below the Great Lakes after passing the National Parks. 2011: Houston to Key West to Boston - all coastal. 2012: Southeast Canada coastal ride!

| I used these on a 3,000 mile trip w/ 105+ high temps. Not sure if it's hand sweat that causes it, but the chrome started flaking off shortly after installation. What doesn't peel off stains black too (that chrome polish has trouble removing). Later in the year I used them in 40F rain, and could barely feel the heat grips if at all. However, they do help with grip radius and no cramping on long rides. |

| HELP! I can't get the clam shell shut. The rubbers slide on no problem, but I just can't squeeze the two outer pieces shut. I've even tried quick-grip pipe clamps. The instructions say to pull on the rubber while you push on the shell - I guess I need two more hands. |

| I installed this at the same time as the spoiler. I loved it for the better visibility, but after about 18 months (and 28,000 miles with plenty of trunk closings) the tab holding it to the spoiler was obliterated - cracked into four pieces. Before I figured out where the rattle was coming from, only the left side screw was holding this lens in place. |

| I purchased this for my new '09 model on 4/2009. About 18 months (though 28,000 miles) later I started hearing a rattle from the back. The tab for the replacement 4-function lens I had installed had shattered, and the nuts in this spoiler - to hold the lens - had popped out because the plastic around them has also cracked and fallen out - both sides! Too many repeated trunk closings I guess, but now I have to replace the spoiler and lens! Well worth the visibility though. |
