Trunk Spoiler
Ordered the Trunk Spoiler to add to our 2008 Titanium Champion Trike. Color was a spot-on match and the installation was a breeze. Just take your time with the template. Just make sure to flip it over for the right side. I drilled my holes just slightly (1/64) oversize to allow for some "wiggle room". The holes lined up just perfectly. It looks great and the addition of a modulator gives an extra ounce of safety. |

Easier way in drilling
I have been fitting 5 of these spoilers and can honestly tell you the first one was the most difficult. If you drill the wrong place you had it. The template is not very accurate and if you follow my instructions it will be a walk in the park. Firstly, mark out as per template. Remember to mark it out from the inside of the lid, lining up the round circle. Drill four small 2mm holes as per template. Now if you going to use rack risers, slide them on as the rack without the risers is a bit different. You can masked the top of the lid around the hole area off with masking tape to prevent scratching. Place the rack over the holes and fine tune the holes position. 9/10 it won't line up. Remember, the hole must be reamed out much bigger as the rim of the screw must fit it, allowing a bit of free play. So you still have a chance if the holes does not line up. Even if you have to drill another hole next to the one that was drilled, you still in the clear. You can stick a small screw driver through the holes to see if it fits. ONE WORD OF WARNING. The holes in the rack is not threaded all the way and the screws does not go in also all the way. I had to cut some thread off every time. Do not force the screw in as it will result in damaging the tread or screw. |

Great Addition
Easy install. The hardest part is committing the drill to the plastic. Took me about an hour. If I had to do it again; 20 minutes. Paint match was perfect. I used the included template and the marks lined up just fine. Because you only get one shot at drilling the holes, I made notes on the template indicating the 3 holes to be drilled for the left side and the 2 holes for the right. And remember to flip the template over! Confused? Watch the Cruiseman install video on YouTube. Even with all that care, I had to lightly dress one or two of the holes with a rasp so there wouldn't be any stress on the plastic when I tightened the bolts up. There was no grommet on the wiring to seal the hole in the trunk lid as shown in the instructions. I guess Honda feels it's not needed to keep water out or to prevent scuffing of the wire on the hole. I'll probably go back in to take a look in a few months or so. If I see any evidence of scuffing, I'll put a wrap or two of electrical tape on the wires to protect them. If I see any water, a dab of sealer should do the trick. All in all, I am very pleased with the look and the added safety the additional brake light brings. Thinking about adding a modulator to it next... |

More visibility
I got this spoiler in preparation for an upcoming trip. It puts a additional brake light and (in my case) turn signals on eye level for car drivers behind me, so that makes it a must have in my book. The installation was pretty straight forward and not overly complicated. Works and looks good and YES in case you're wondering, it fits nicely under a luggage rack on the trunk. |

I bought this mostly for the extra high-mount brake light it incorporates. Mine is '08 Caliente Red, the color is spot on. Install was a tad nerve racking what with drilling the trunk and all. I used the tick marks on the inside of the trunk for hole locations. The template didn't line up correctly. Take our time and ease up on the final size hole while checking alignment as you go. A step drill bit works very well after your pilot hole is made. I also used the adapter plug kit to wire the lights as brake and tail lights. |

a great addon for safety and appearance
I added this years ago. you can mistake it when the wing is stopping. The LEDs light up and are very very bright for the motorist behind to see. Great look over the truck too. |

Spoiler
Read the instructions and search the internet for additional info. The template that came with my spoiler was incorrect. I cut out the template and tried to match it to the indicated points under the trunk lid, they did not match. The side of the template says it measures 215mm but when I measured, it was only 205mm. Searched the internet for help and found a template that came to 210mm. Gave up with the template, held my breath and drilled thru the 3 indicated dimples on the left and 2 of dimples on the right. Started off with a small drill and work up to the 7/16 hole needed. After drilling the first holes I stuck toothpicks thru the holes just to make sure they lined up with the holes in the spoiler... everything lined up perfectly. Took about 2.5 - 3 hours not including the internet searching. I installed this on a 2010 GL1800. |
