Adds "A Touch of Class"
I bought this and had it installed by dealer on my 2012 Goldwing. It REALLY looks sharp! Plus I added the Kuryakyn Brake Light Modulator, so it really makes your bike get noticed everytime you touch the brakes. Definitely worth the extra $$ in my opinion. I also added the OEM chrome u shaped accent accessory to accent this, and together they look GREAT! Highly recommend, you will be happy! Ride Safe! |

WATCH OUT--Template ejector pin marks don't match
I did this very carefully because of other comments about the inaccurate template. The ejector pin marks don't line up right. The "mark with awl" points match up with the little nubs on the underside of the lid.I matched the nubs with the template marks and it fit perfectly after drilling and looks fantastic. When I saw that people were drilling their holes wrong I thought they must not be paying close enough attention to detail but they were right, THE TEMPLATE IS WRONG. |

Easier than expected!!!
I just installed this on 2012 Wing and it couldn't been easier. Just follow the instructions, carefully, and it fits perfectly. The templet matched the marks already provided by Honda. Just punch the marks, pilot drill then final drill. Install screws, plug in the wires and you're done. Took about 30 minutes. I love it. Makes the bike look so much better Honda should make them standard equipment. |

Rear spoiler
Found that the template was out by 1/2 inch which left me with 2 small unwanted holes in the topbox lid. Luckily they were covered by the base of the spoiler. The spoiler looks good and fits well with the carry rack that was already there. I also installed the running light optional connection which didn't work when connected to the blue connectors behind the number plate as specified. Being an Australian specked model with no running/tail lights in the panniers I'm suspecting it needs to be connected somewhere else? Any clues please? |

Check the template
Update: When I saw Kenneth's review I realised that I forgot to mention in my previous review about the template being wrong (seems to be too far forward on the right). I also omitted the exact steps I took to fit it correctly as I was preparing for a long trip and didn’t have the time, so I will give that feedback now. As with any other accessory that requires drilling, you should always measure more than once to make 100% sure it is fitted correctly. I followed the next few simple steps to ensure it was mounted correctly: 1. I used the template to mark the holes. 2. I drilled only one hole on the left that is just big enough for the screw to fit. I chose the one closest to the back of the bike. 3. I screwed in all of the screws into the spoiler except for the one I drilled the hole for. 4. I taped masking tape on top of the lid approx where the rest of the holes should go. 5. Using a longer screw through the drilled hole, I mounted the spoiler, being careful not to let the spoiler slip and damage the paint. Only hand-tight. 6. I closed the lid (do this slowly) and carefully moved the spoiler until it was positioned correctly (I used a measuring tape to make sure it is the same distance from the pillion backrest on both sides). 7. With a felt-tipped pen I marked the position of the screw heads on the masking tape and carefully removed the spoiler. 9. Once removed I marked the centre of each screw position and drilled a small hole for each screw. 10. I refitted the spoiler using the one long screw. 11. With my wife’s help I held the spoiler firmly in place and slowly lifted the lid. Make sure it doesn’t slip or it will damage the lid! 12. I used a small screwdriver to insert into one of the holes on the right to help keeping the spoiler in place. I chose the one diagonally across from the one with the long screw fitted. 12. By looking through each of the holes in turn, I was able to determine if the holes were properly aligned with the spoiler, and if not, I could see in which direction to enlarge each hole. You can carefully move the spoiler up and down if you want to get a feeling of what needs to be done. 13. I started with the hole where I inserted the screwdriver and made the hole just large enough to fit another long screw through. 14. Now with 2 screws in place to hold the spoiler, I once again closed the lid and measured the distances again, taking note of any adjustments needed. 15. Once I had the 2 holes aligned perfectly, I continued with the rest, making small adjustments at a time until the holes were perfectly aligned and slightly bigger than the screws to allow for final alignment. 16. At this point I peeled off the masking tape, and drilled the hole for the wires according to the template marking. 17. For final fitment I screwed in all screws (hand tight), closed the lid, measured the distances from the sides and front and moved the spoiler until it was perfect. Then holding it firm while opening the lid (again, my wife helped) I tightened all screws. 18. A final measure confirmed that it was perfect. Plugging-in the wires was merely a formality. Job done! |

Honda Spoiler
All I can say is that this thing adds class. I was going to add a luggage rack. After installing the spoiler, I sat the rack on the trunk to see how it would look. The next thing I did was to check the Wingstuff return policy. I liked the rack but not enough to have it distract from the spoiler. We will just pack light when we travel. Safety and looks can't be beat!! |

Humor me here. This spoiler does nothing to hold the rear of the bike firmly on the pavement at high speeds, but it does look neat & the led's add something in terms of rear end visibility. |

Installing this is not for the faint-hearted. You will be drilling 5 holes in your beautiful trunk lid so make 100% sure you have marked them correctly with the supplied template. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. For best results, start drilling with a small drill and work your way up to the correct size. Use a drill with speed control and drill slowly to prevent paint damage or burring. I also bought the Spoiler Run/Brake/Flashing LED Light replacement (Item# EC01320) and installed it at the same time. See separate review of the EC01320. It took me the whole day to install this and a few other accessories so I cannot say how long it took for only the spoiler. I took my time to make sure I did it correctly. My guess is that it will take about 60-90 min. The result is unbelievable. It completely transforms the hunch-back look from behind into a more complete classy look. It really should be fitted as standard. It is expensive but it is a quality product which is what you would expect from an OEM product. You get what you pay for. I’m very happy with the final results. I would recommend this to anybody. |

Spoiler adds a great look and I replaced light with Item #: AO451842V Running/Brake/Turn Signal all in one light and installed with American Motorcycle Accessories GL1800 Chrome Billet Luggage Rack Item # SBAMA2003. Installation was easy I cut the template out with a razor blade for a clean cut. The trunk was designed for a spoiler if you look carefully at the underside of the trunk lid where the template shows to drill the holes you will see molded into the lid 3 circles with a raised point in the middle on the left side and 2 on the right also note the final drill size recommended was too big I use the size that matched the screws size for a tighter better fit. |
