Better than advertised.
I don't think I've ever been so surprised. So much better then the original ball bearings. When removing the old bearings found that they were loose. No need to buy the special Honda socket for the spanner nut. A 1 11/16 inch socket will work for the bottom nut. Then use a punch to lock down the jamb nut. The only bad thing is that they don't include the locking washer with the kit. But, if you are careful you can reuse the old one. WOBBLE IS GONE. |

Stearing feels precise
I also have a 2002 wing bought from 2nd owner, almost every after market part one could install. I later replaced most all of it as it was old and scratched or damaged. Last year rebuilt the forks and lived with the new changes until one day on a short run I noticed the dreaded wobble. Checked with the local shop and asked about the condition of the wheel bearings, the when on to sell me new progressives nice but no deal finally mentioned I should retork the head bearings. So back to front wheel and forks removal. I was just going to repack OEM and inspection look good (until) I lost one of the top balls! So off to wingstuff to get the all balls set. While I am on the subject Wingstuff. I ordered on a Sunday and by Monday they were on there way guess they understood my predicament great service thanks guys! On with the babble, the oem races pop right out I used a long socket extension (be sure to look for the lip of the race as the seat will not move) installing was a little bit more work with out a proper race driver (if they get started a little crooked you will need to give them a tap from the inside to correct) Okay finally! hand pack your new bearing re assemble and retork. No wobble turns feel secure and knowing you did the job right! |

Simply Amazing!
I've put a good many improvements into the 2002 Goldwing I bought from the original owner last year: highway pegs, new speakers, FOBO tire pressure monitors, a back rest, and a few more. But I came back form a 3400 mile trip with uneven tire wear on a relatively new set of Dunlop Elite 3s. So I looked around on the net to see what I could find out and became convinced it had to be the front stem bearing. Confirmed the problem when I tested for the dreaded front end wobble, which I had at about 35-40 miles per hour. Bought the All Balls Bearings and had them installed last week. Completely transformed the steering and handling of the bike. It tracks much truer now, both at speed and in the corners. What an amazing difference. The install was of course many times more expensive than the bearings, but I certainly got my money's worth. Combined the new stem bearing, btw, with DynaBeads in both front and rear tires and the ride and handling of the bike are transformed. If I'm not mistaken, about 500 miles or so later the tire wear has already started to even out. |

Better than new.
I just put these on along with Progressive Mono Tube Forks and now my 2012 with over 60,000 miles feels better than when it was new. Low speed maneuvers are so firm and when I get aggressive on the high speed peg grinders the feel is rock solid. I wish I did this 40,000 miles ago. Now I need to go back and attack some of my favorite roads. |

Roller Neck Bearings
I have a 2003 1800 Wing, that had the Honda Wobble ( at 30-40 mph slow down. I first tried the Ceramic Beads, which helped the cupping of the front tire, but did nothing for the wobble. Then I spent the money to have the All Ball Roller Bearings installed and had the same results as the Beads (did Nothing for the Wobble). Then about a year later when I replace the front tire, I put in new Wheel Bearings, that was the answer after three years of trying to get rid of the Wobble it was gone. TRY THE FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS BEFORE YOU GO TO THE EXPENCES ON TROBLE OF THE ROLLER BEARINGS. DAVE, |

1800 must do
I understand why Honda went from the roller bearings to the ball bearings but I don't think it was a good move by Honda engineers. The roller bearings were used in the 1500 for years and they had no problems but when they designed the 1800 they went to what they were using on the track. The Ball Berings are great for the lighter bikes and give you a much lighter force to turn the handle bars but Honda missed the target on this one. The balls have such a small surface area that there is to much force per square inch for the design on the 1800. at 77k miles I could feel the detentes in the steering caused by the balls beating pockets into the race surface. The bearings at this point started to loosen up so it was time to replace them with the proper design of bearing. The roller type of bearing will support the weight and not cause damage to the race so I expect these bearings to last the same as the ones in the 1500s. 200k or 300k miles for these instead of 77k and coompletely shot. |

Solid Front End
Last year I picked up a wobble that quickly turned to a "controlled crash" coming home from a ride on 2010 Wing. The first thing I turned to in my research was the steering bearings. While replacing the bearings, I rebuilt the forks, and installed Traxxion progressive springs. Installing the bearings outside of a dealer requires a few special tools and being an experienced mechanic. If in doubt take it to the dealer. I installed my bearings without a driver by freezing the steering stem in dry ice, and using the old races as a "driver" for tapping the new bearings in. Now, my Wing is a whole new ride. Tight right turns are now a breeze. As with all the other posts, I agree that Honda dropped the ball with their ball bearings. Please note, these bearings may not solve all front end wobbles, I sincerely feel that one should replace their Honda bearings with All Balls!!!!! |

THE WOBBLE IS GONE!!!!! >> FINALLY!!!!!!!
About 6-8 months after we bought the bike, we have experienced a "wobble" in the front end, mostly at the 40-30 MPH range, BUT it was noticeable ALL THE TIME! It chewed up my tires & was very fatiguing on my hands & arms... We bought the Super Fork Brace, it helped only a little, we tried changing tires, but after about 500 + miles, the wobble was back, So we tried the Centramatic Wheel Balancers...Only helped a little...Tried new / different tires again, same deal...I was ready to sell the bike because it was getting so bad...Finally we tried changing the bearings to ALL BALLS BEARINGS!!...WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!NO MORE WOBBLE...AT ALL!!!!! I also did change the tires when we did the bearing install, and it was like riding on rails...Smooth as glass, I only wish that we did this FIRST!!!I could have saved ALOT of $$$$ However I must say the combination of the fork brace, centramatic balancers and the new bearings have elongated the tire wear by about double! I am so happy to finally have the wobble gone!! Youd think Honda would upgrade for the few dollars difference to give us a better ride!! (Yeah Right!) Five stars all the way!!! |

Huge Gain in Handling/Feel
Just recently had my front fork seals fail on my Goldwing at about 70k miles. Since replacement of those seals involved breaking down the front end I figured with all the positive reviews of the All Balls Steering Bearings, why not add them to my bike since my mechanic was going to be halfway there anyway. So I replaced the bearings with these babies (along with the Progressive Monotube Forks) and the handling of my motorcycle improved immensely. The front end was much tighter and responsive. Road bumps and hiccups were dampened and gone was the infamous 40 mph Goldwing wobble. My mechanic also informed me that the quality of these bearings was far superior to the stock Honda part. Which brings me to ask, how much did Honda pay for their part since these are so inexpensive? Definitely recommend these. |

Fixed the problem
I bought the bearing kit a year ago and never put in in until now, why did I wait what a difference it made. It was a bit of a job but since I was changing my air filter and tires it made sense to do it at this time. The advise I would like to pass on is buy a spanner socket and make sure you torque the steering stem nut as out lined in the manual. |

Money Well Spent
Lots of work to install but took care of the "dead spot" at the center of steering and the annoying front end wobble. More than pleased with the results. |
