There were five stars for this product in the beginning. After 60.000 kilometers it is loosing chrome on both sides !!! This is definitely not the article for the Goldwing. If you dont't belive, see the photos on my Facebook.
Great product it was easy to put on (about 1 hour) its just one more thing i can check off my list...a must have.Looks like it come from the factory on the bike..
Had these installed at Wingstuff while getting a new front tire. Very smooth at highway speeds all the way to triple digits. Hope the tire wear will be improved. So far happy with the product.
i got mine before rick started carrying them. mine is for the harley, feel free to pass this on to your harley friends (if you have any) make sure they let him know what year of HD it's for.
Great product and installation was not to difficult. The provided written instructions were fine, but the accompany photographs were terrible. I like the look of the product and hope that it doesn't break. But, like everything else on a bike; it is worth taking a look periodically to see how things are holding up.
I purchased the windshield without the vent. I am totally satisfied! The construction is great, it looks great and with proper adjustment, it does a great job deflecting a lot of the wind. Everybody that sees the windshield compliments it's good looks. I would also like to thank Phil on the order desk for finding this windshield and getting it to me. Definitely worth 5 stars!
I Think that the bridgestone tires that came new on the bike have been the best tires so far. I have put 6k on these tires and at 4500 they started to cup. Still sticks well in the corners and they have have plenty on meat left on them. I'm a big guy and i have played with pressure on all the tires that I have owned. If your riding 2 up you should increase your tire pressure 2 to 4 pounds. If you weigh more then 200 pounds you should adjust for that as well. I think the Metzeler 880's is a good tire, But I feel the tire manufactures are shorting us. I have had plenty on bikes over the last 25 years and have learned how to take care of my tires but the wing is a tire eater due to it's weight and front end rake. I ran the 880's on my Harley dresser and was surprised when I would get 8k to 10k on them. Don't spend your money on upgrades to you bike I have tried them all. My Buddie installed a steering dampener and when rear tire started to cup the wobble came back. Take care of your tires and remember to keep the pressure checked
Take your time installing this and you will not be dissapointed. Took me about an 1 hr to install. This rack fits and looks great. As others have mentioned, it provides room underneath to wash and wax your trunk, a big plus!! I am very pleased with the quaility and price of this product. (Just needs the microwave mounting attachment and we are really cooking).

I have purchased several of these in Red for myself and black for my friend. I have them on the cuff of my pants and on the back of my vest. My friend has them on his hat, and the back of his vest. I get a LOT of complements on them. |
Wow ! What a difference these arms make. Perfect length for taller riders.
This is a very sturdy rack and it looks good. With the new version I do not see the need to purchase the riser kit. Plenty of room to reach underneath and clean the trunk lid. Only down side to this product is that the manufacturer definitely has a problem getting the four mounting leg angles correct. Two of the four mounting leg angles were off. To properly fix this problem I had to mark and grind all 4 legs for correct height and angle (can't just grind the two legs that incorrect). I purchased the star washers and they are a nice addition. I purchased my rubber washers at Lowes. A good rack for the money, but the manufacturer needs to get there act together with quality control.

This is probably fine for HD but saddlebags are not very nice fit for Gl1800. |
