HAVE HAD THE AVONS FOR ABOUT 4000 KM. GREAT TIRE ALL AROUND, REAR TIRE STARTING TO WEAR UNEVENLY ON SIDES THOUGH, NOT SURE WHY, RUNNING 42 PSI, CENTRAMATIC BALLANCERS INSTALLED. ANY IDEAS... IS THE 70 SERIES TIRE WIDER THAN THE 60 OR JUST TALLER...
I purchased the HPS with the electrical option this passed winter. January I think. It's a great feature to be able to see over the windscreen and it leaves a very calm envelope. Can't believe it works so well. Gets some turbulence in higher speeds but that is taken care of by raise the windscreen. I also purchased the ST for long rides on freeways. I use that one when me and my wife do longer trips. That one you look through. I don't like that but the ride is very comfortable on those "transportation roads". These windscreens deliver a lot of options that a stock windshield would never have a chance in diversity here. Feel like taking a fast sporty weekend with your friends on twisty roads: Use the HPS. Feel like a stretch on the Freeway to a distant attraction: Take the ST. Buy one. You won't be disappointed.
This windsheild is not worth the money. I waited and put about 3500 miles on it.The vent is too high even with it down it blows in your face. I was on a trip down south and hit a little rain. It blows off the top right into your face. The wind seems worse than the stock windshield. When it's all the way down it's higher than the stock windshield and you can't see over it as well. I gave it a 2 because it does look nicer. But i would buy a stock one for about half the money. The passenger does not see any difference in this windshield either. Feels it is overrated!
The problem Joakim identified with folder naming conventions is limited to the J&M model 1 type B player. We have provided Joakim with access to modified sofware which solves his specific problem. If you have similar problems, please contact Wingstuff and we will get you the latest software fix.
Bought this from Wingstuff at Wing Ding 33 for my wife. We had a 500+ mile trip home to test it out and she likes it a lot. Install was real easy and it even included the anti-seize compound to go on the bolt threads. Great to see a company that really does include everything you need to install its product. Other companies should do the same, its really not that hard to do it the right way.
Installation and looks/functionality was good. After 1.5 years the lights shorted out due to water/corrosion within the unit. This caused an exessive current draw that did not cause the fuse to open but melted the wires back to the point of plug & play. Where these melted wires were against existing wiring, enough heat was created to also melt the insulation on the factory wires.

I had these installed on my trike at Wing Ding at Knoxville. On my way home on I-40, I run from 70 to 80 and my GPS was so stil that I could see it clearly without holding it and steading it with my hand for the first time. All the vibration was gone! There was no vibration on the handlebars. I highly recommend this product. The staff at Wing Ding was very helpful. It was good to see them in person. In the past, I have only dealt with them on the phone. Glenn Bumgarner |
I had the unlite ones and lost the chrome and rubber on one side while riding down highway .
Had these for a year and our first long ride this past week, lost the transformer peg.Was all good before we left and 1000 miles later just fell off. :(
Loved my Driver's Drink Butler so much last year, that before we left on our recent 4300 mile trip to South Dakota in June, I installed the Passenger Drink Butler with chrome bracket to our 2006 Navi Goldwing. Since we have the new Rivco Armrests (which tilt up instead of outward), this allow the cup to stay level, & out of the way, when opening the rear truck. Bracket quality was excellent & looks good even when the cup & holder are removed. Well worth the money!

Just returned from a 4300 mile trek from Vancouver Island (Canada) to South Dakota. On our return trip home from Spearfish, we ran 675 miles the first day & 650 the second day. Could not have done it without the Airhawks. Before the trip, I ordered my Wife a 14x11 Pillion seat cushion, which fits perfectly behind my Utopia Back rest. The medium Cruiser is too big for the passenger seat if you have a back rest. My Wife absolutely loved her cushion. Not only was it comfortable for her, but kept her butt cool & moisture free in the heat of South Dakota. Normally she wears a back brace to protect her delicate spine from any large bumps or potholes. Because the Airhawk cushioned her from any shocks to her back, she did not have to wear the brace once during our two week voyage. This product had more than fulfilled my expectations of it. Also notice on our trip, a large number of Harley owners were also using the Airhawks. Now I highly recommend this product to all my riding friends. |
