| I put these on my '08 Wing, and have been extremely happy. Went on a 11,000 mi trip and found them very helpful on the back and legs. Remember to use HondaLock bolt tightener on the center bolt running down thru the rubber foot mounts. Mine worked loose and I lost a few of the rubber pads. Live and learn. Once secured in place they are great. |
| I put this on 3 yrs ago, and love it. I see one review below States he dislikes the fact that it swivels and falls off. I agree, it does swivel. I've never had it fall off. One time, I had a cold drink container that was very tall and full. It did swivel too far that time. But, with normal drinks from a 12 oz can to a Starbucks thermos, it works great. I got the one with the black leather trim. It looks fine. Great item. |
| Large Richard, in a previous review, turned me onto this. I figured he was crazy, well, more than normal. But, he was right. Honda should be ashamed of themselves for going to the ball bearing style over this tapered version. I have had a 2005 and now a 2008 Wing, and both suffered this issue of front end wobble, especially between 35 and 50 mph. After installing the All Balls bearing, it's as calm as can be. This is a must-fix for everyone who has this issue. |

I got this and had it for 6 months before trying it. Put it on when I filled up and took it off when I filled up again. Got back on the interstate and went 25 miles and put it back on and have not taken it off for 20K miles. I have a heated seat and I feel the heat through the beads. It saved my Back Side |
| I put this on my 1500 and it is NOT to big to get in the way. When I got my 1800 I put one on and when my girlfriend got her 1800 trike she got one. Hold every drink we like. Great |
| This was installed on my bike for 3 years. The volume controller prooved to be of no value. There was no time my passenger ever wanted a lower volume than I had and it doesn't allow the passenger to select a higher volume. The push to talk feature is fine and there were no issues at all with sound. The biggest negative is the plug receptacle. It doesn't quite fit the holder on the bike when not in use and sometimes falls out (minor issue). The worst problem is that the plug is very stiff and it's a real chore to get the J&M helmet plug into it. For these reasons I have removed it and will get just a factory push to talk button instead. |

The installation of this device on a 2012 GL1800 is a little more involved than the previous models on account of the '12's have a 4-brake light system. The Wig-Wag device is designed to ONLY operate 2-bulbs, so you can't make your connections at the electrical plug under the trunk. Instead you have to cut the wires at the bulb connector for each brake light bulb. I would suggest mounting the module in the trunk (not under the seat) so you can more easily route the wires behind the plastic trim covers. Once the wiring was done the Wig Wag work as intended. The Module is the same size in area as a business card so it doesn't take up much space in the trunk. The construction of the module is all metal with built in heat fins. I'm not aware of the module getting hot, so no need to worry about air flow. Installation was NOT difficult and it's worth the installation effort. |
| Yes, this hitch is a pain to install, but for the money, you can’t beat it. If you are mechanically inclined, you should be able to figure out. Yes the instructions could be so much better; it would really help if they would have taken better pictures and bigger pictures!!! I purchased another companies hitch for my 2008 and back then the instructions were much worse. What would be beneficial, if you could go to their website for more detailed pictures. |

There is a balance between tire mileage and traction. Some people may like the great mileage you get on the Dunlops, but I find that the "stickiness" of the Bridgestones make for such a better ride that I am more than willing to give up tread. I have been doing over 18K a year - so I go through tires - but prefer the safe and solid feel. I have found these to run true (especially when I also add Dynabeads) with no cupping and they really stick to the curves. While traveling last summer I mis-calculated and had to get a tire before I got home. Dealer only had the Dunlop and I hated the ride so much I only put about 2K on it before I replaced the tire. |
| these were not bad to install---- a little neverous when had to drill but all and all not so bad---just remember the old saying mesure twice drill once---- and these really did cut down on the wind and buffeting noise on the mike ---real good addition |
| we i added beads to my tires it was vary easy to do when i took it for a ride i did not notice any difrence in the ride----- as to weather they make the tires last longer not sure of any way to determin that all tires whear difrent due to conditions so how would you replicate that to know -----as to gas milage it was not as good but it was an old tank full sat over the winter so will wait for fresh gas to determin that unless gas mialage inproves the beads are a waste of money |
