Passenger Push to Talk Switch

Excellent passenger push to talk
Perfect. Nice quality and easy to install. Factory part is better quality that the show chrome one I had before. Includes a nice template to line up the hole so it fits correctly. |
Passenger Volume Control w/CB Talk Button

Poor plug quality
This was installed on my bike for 3 years. The volume controller prooved to be of no value. There was no time my passenger ever wanted a lower volume than I had and it doesn't allow the passenger to select a higher volume. The push to talk feature is fine and there were no issues at all with sound. The biggest negative is the plug receptacle. It doesn't quite fit the holder on the bike when not in use and sometimes falls out (minor issue). The worst problem is that the plug is very stiff and it's a real chore to get the J&M helmet plug into it. For these reasons I have removed it and will get just a factory push to talk button instead. |

OK tire
The 880s are OK, but not for being pushed hard in the twisties. Wet grip is very good and treadwear appears average or slightly better. The only issue I have is dry grip. I can break the back loose much easier that with the Stones. In tight corners, it is easy to get the back to slide out - controllable - but not what I want on a heavy bike. Note that I have a full race tech suspension upgrde and can push the bike a bit harder than stock, so this may not effect some riders as much. I will be going back to the Stones when these are done. |
Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers for GL1800

2 Stars
I've had these on now for several months. They are now very deformed - and after completing a 5300 mile trip, they did nothing to protect the finish under the trunk lid. On the plus side, since they have gotten so deformed, the trunk opens again with the remote. |
