Air Hawk R Air Seat Cushion
| We have used our Air Hawk R Air Seat Cushion for 2 riding seasons now and find them a wonderful asset to our long distance riding. We have a 2010 Goldwing and we have this exact model for both of us as driver and rider. We have found during hot weather that they will elevate the seat so air may pass through. With the seat being black it can absorb the heat easily and while leaving this on the seat it will not be as hot to sit on. Air is a wonderful component to absorb the road bounce. The comfort of air being passed through the seat area is what we like best. In 90 degree weather it certainly can make that bottom area not sweat. My husband has it so attached to the seat where we can easily remove it when not in use. To adjust the air is a tucked away straw that you pull out and inflate or deflate with your own mouth can easily be adjusted. It does not need much. We love our Air Hawks and have spread the word among our friends and they now have them...Wingstuff.com has the best price and with free shipping it is easily received. Get one and you will not be disappointed especially when you go for long long rides. |

It works
| My wife and I both rode round trip to Wing Ding from Fargo to Madison with no pain. Well worth the money. It does not take too much air to use. It only raised me about a 1/2" at the most. |

| This cushion is worth every penny. 2000 mile test proved it. The trip wouldn't of been such a pleasure without it. You wont regret buying it, putting air in it or releasing is a breeze, and it doesn't take much to make a difference. Yes you sit a bit higher in the seat. |

Well Done
| I just returned from a 4850 mile road trip to the Black Hills. I purchased the Air Hawk right before I left based on the reviews that are written here and of course gave it the test of a warrior on this trip. This product performed as advertised and then some. Over the years on long trips there has always come a time where no matter how I shifted my bottom I could not avoid the hot spot. In ten days of riding and probably about ten hours a day in the saddle I never even felt a hot spot or any discomfort at all. This is a terrific piece of design work and something that any serious rider should own. Of course it is pricey and looking at it I still cant figure out why it is so expensive but at the end of the day the comfort that it affords is well worth the money...providing it wears well and lasts for years. Save up[ your pennies and buy one you wont be sorry. |

Old Old Butt
| On my last post I stated the Air Hawk "flattens" when going to higher altitudes. That is incorrect! It inflates getting harder. OK, I really like my Air Hawk. However, I have the "comfort package" on my Wing. The heated seat has little or no effect when I use the Air Hawk. I ride year round. My no ride temperature for a trip is 20ËšF. No I don't wear heated clothing. Just put on a downy sweater on under my leather insulated MC jacket and insulated chaps. Don't use the Air Hawk at lower temperatures but take it along for when the temp gets warmer. GREAT PRODUCT!!! |

Butt Saver
| Lives up to the billing; The AirHawk R is a great fit for the GL1800 seat and works wonderfully. Let's face it; the Goldwing seat feels great when you first plant yourself in it, but after a few hours, it gets harder by the mile and this cushion makes all the difference in the world. If I'm in the saddle ALL day, I still eventually get a little sore, but this is fantastic product that I can highly recommend. One added benefit for me is a somewhat higher riding position as I'm 6'4". |

doing the happy dance
| I am one of those men who are all gut and no butt. 200 lbs. and an apple sized backside. This cushion is great. Have rode about 3000 miles and have no regrets, even though it was quite pricey. Hope it lasts longer than some of the times I have heard about. Do your butt a favor and get one of these. |

The best product I've ever purchased.
| Okay, we're all adults, so don't be offended by anything I say. This review is not meant to be funny or foul; it's meant to relay my true experiences. I was considering retiring from long rides because of excruciating pain in my outey. I spoke to my Doctor because I thought I needed surgery after my last long ride. He said I was fine, so I realized I just needed the right seat cushion. After reading several reviews, I replaced my expensive sheepskin cover with the AirHawk R. I strapped it onto my 2009 GL1800 Airbag just a day before leaving on my 3000 mile, 10 day trip from San Diego, CA to Missoula, Montana. I never, ever, felt any pain in my anus or tailbone during this trip. On previous trips, that area was on fire! I would also attribute some of the relief to the heavy application of Prep H products and also to my Duluth Trading Ballroom Jeans, but I sincerely believe the greatest relief came from the AirHawk R seat cushion. It has an open channel down the center, so your anus and tailbone are elevated and never come into contact with your hot bike seat. Your butt cheeks ride on an inflated waffle patterned cushion which redistributes air support as you move around and shift your weight. The air channels allow airflow which also help to keep you dry, you know, down there. This is not made for racing bikes; it's made for us fat old guys who like to take long rides. Face it, we force ourselves to smile when we're riding and we say we're having fun because we enjoy the scenery and we love to ride, but we suffer every inch of the way after about 40 miles, especially on hot days because our bung holes are on fire! I hate riding through the Mojave Desert on 106 degree days in heavy traffic! This cushion solves that problem. I just returned from my 3000 mile trip and I'm ready to go another 3000. The cushion is easy to inflate and deflate using a side mounted valve (easy like a balloon, no pump needed). The altitude and temperature changes affect its inflation a bit. The cushion comes with a cover and easily straps on the seat using two elastic straps. I highly recommend this product for long rides. |

Great for upright cruising
| I've done Iron Butt and RFTW with this seat and it does increase the comfort of a long ride for sure. My only concern is twisties, it gives you a bit of an uneasy feel as you shift left and right a bit while engaging agressive turns. If you cranking and banking you lose firm contact with the bike via the seat. Otherwise, great! |

Air Hawk Worth Every Dollar
| I've owned mine about a year now (about 20K miles)and couldn't be happier. Matter of fact I don't even think about my rear bothering me at all anymore. If your butt hurts you won't enjoy that ride. Max distance I've done in a day is 800 miles. Don't wait, buy one now. |

Old, old butt
| I'm an Iron Butt member. My Air Hawk is great for long trips. The GL 1800 seat is comfortable for under 200 mile trips. Very little air pressure is very comfortable. I'm happy with my Air Hawk for long trips. The down side is two fold. Remember it is AIR. Temperature changes affects how hard or soft it is. i.e. Ride desert during the day and then at night, it gets pretty flat. Also, similarly change in altitude affects how comfortable. I'm near Denver, 5280'. When I go into the mountains and passes, the Air Hawk flattens because of barometric pressure. I've made 1K mile day trips without the Air Hawk. My butt was pretty tired / sore. I've made 1K mile day trips with the Air Hawk. I could walk correctly and didn't need a butt rub. Of course like a baby I like women rubbing my butt. :) Would be nice to be able to adjust on the road. Good comfort and adjustable product. |

| Put the old bottom on it and went to Sturgis and the dragons tail along with long rides around New England. Best investment I made for the old bottom next to the wing itself. worth the money |
