Mono Tube Progressive Shocks 2012
Okay, I have been reading the feedbacks on the shocks. I bit the bullet and purchased a set as well as set of all ball bearings for the stem as well as for the front wheel. I also purchased a fork brace. I did the installation. I watched the video several times. Changing the monotubes was easy however, the bottom fork nut was hard to torque. The top monotube would spin so I used a blue (Med) threadlock to hold the nut. I got it close to the recommended torq spec. The installation was very easy. Before installing the shocks on my bike I replaced stem bearings with All ball bearings. I followed the correct procedure for installing the bearings and correct Torq spec. I also used a Fish Scale to make sure it was at the right spec. I installed the forks on the bike. I torq all of the nuts. I removed the OEM bearings in my front wheel. It took me about 15 minutes to change out the bearings with New All ball bearings. I installed the front wheel. It took me about 6 hours to disassemble and install the forks. The day after installing the forks and bearings, I went on a 4 day trip from Gainesville Florida to Cherokee NC. The front of the bike was a little bumpy at first. The bumpy feeling subsided as I was riding up to NC. I guess the springs were breaking in. Although it felt bumpy, the ride overall was smoother. When I hit bumps, there was no downward bottoming out like before. The next 2 days of riding in the mountains was even better. The suspension was nice and tight and very smooth. I owned a 2008 Ultra classic and the front suspension was way better than my OEM 2012 GL1800 suspension. The suspension on my GL1800 now feels more like the Ultra Classic suspension. I did not install the 2 spacers for a softer ride. The Progressive instructions mention that you will more than likely won't need to install the spacers. I didn't install them and I dont plan on installing them at this time. All in all I give the shocks an A+. Note The ride is way different than OEM, but like anything that you are used too, it will take time to adjust. I put `1500 miles on the bike in 4 days and I wont go back to OEM |

Monotube Cartridge Kit ++++
I installed these Monotube Cartridges a year ago along with Trax-Rite triple tree. The Ride is awesome now compared to the stock set up from Honda. I love the ride now...so much nicer. I would recommend these to all. Don't forget to replace the other internal parts in your forks...all sold here at WingStuff!! You'll wonder why you waited so long to do this upgrade. |

Dramatic Ride Improvement
I followed the video and found the install easy. With only 50K on my 2012 I did not realize these would make such an improvement. |

Should be factory standard!
I was tired of the jolt from holes. These make it smooth like the Cadillac of bikes should be. They did raise the front where I noticed it but my feet are still flat on the ground. My install is done by a dealer and is not a cheep installation. I needed seals too and of course fluid. Came to $325.00 The new ride is worth it though. |

Nice upgrade but expensive to install
I have a 12 year old wing with about 20,000 miles on it. The front end felt loose, and there was a fair amount of front end dive, especially two up, so I decided to install the progressive cartridge and an all balls steering head bearing, along with getting the fluid changed. I wouldn't say the bike was transformed but it handles much better now, and the front end dive problem is eliminated. There is a trade off for the better handling; the spring is stiffer than stock so you can feel the bumps a little more. If you want sportier handling; this will get you there. If you like a cushy ride; I say just change the fluid and put the steering bearing in. As for ride height, I can't tell the difference. I was worried I would want to jack up the rear after I got this installed but that hasn't been the case. The new front end still pairs well with the rear. One more thing, if you have this installed, you will need a bushing and seal kit too (another hundred dollars or so). |

Also while installing the front suspension I went on ahead and also replaced the steering bearing, now my 2008 Goldwing fills like a new bike. Thank Wingstuff, also your delivery was great, fast, and all the other ten items I ordered were their all accounted for. Great service. |

Progressive fron fork fix
At 77K on my 2010 1800 the front end need some help. The ride was getting choppy and it was diving when I braked hard so this was the needed fix. The ride has improved to better than "original new ride". When you want to upgrade your front end on your 1800 this is the fix. |

rides like new, maybe better
I had this the monotube fork cartridge kit and the rear spring installed by the dealer. The bike, now with +100,000 miles, rides better than I remember it riding when new. Would definitely recommend these products. |

A Great Addition
The Progressive Monotubes have really transformed my 01 wing into the motorcycle that Honda should have built. My suspension was pretty lousy when I bought my bike and now my wings front end performs better than new. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to upgrade their front ends performance. |

you won't be disappointed
If you don't just ride the interstates in a straight line all day you will be amazed at the difference this product makes in the handling of your wing. Even if you do ride mostly on highways you will fell and appreciate the difference in the handling and feel of the bike. I installed the All Balls tapered bearings, the Super brace and the Progressive front suspension. I would recommend that everyone do this to their wing. The improved handling and stability on the road is amazing and I would even suggest you will be safer on the road with the improved handling |

Should be the first upgrade to your Wing!
After blowing the front fork seals out a second time and having to ride 50 miles home on I-95; I was frustrated enough to order a set. After installation, which was as easy as replacing the fork seals, I could not believe the improved ride and handling. 18k miles later, they are as good as during the test ride. This should be the first upgrade to your Wing. Well worth the cost and time it takes to install them. |
