I just installed my Vertical Hitch yesterday. I emailed CWOLAW for his assembly instructions and they worked great. It would have been a mother bear if I had not had them. Just a note. Leave all of the bolts loose until you have all the pieces in place. It is the only way it will line up properly. Overall the hitch is top shelf. Very sturdy and well constructed. Lood forward to pulling my new Piggybacker with it on my trip to Alberta this summer. |

I was able to install this hitch in about 2 1/2 hours. the only help was to get my bride out to give me some morral support a few times and a stable hand while I lined a few things up. I emailed CWOLAW for his instructions, the pictures were a great help thanks CWOLAW.THERE is nothing that can replace PICTURES. I have not towed any thing with the hitch yet first things first. The 4 stars are for the instructions. Yes you may have to push and pull a few times to get the bolts to line up but it does come together. just remember to leave every thing loose til the final install is done then tighten it down. When it is installed you won't even know it is there. |

Purchased hitch last spring and installed on on my 06. Pulled a trailer from Cleve., OH to Billings, MT and back. (5,200 miles total). No problem at all! Installation was fairly easy but pictures on instructions are worthless. I like the hidden hitch idea. Mine fit perfect though I had to pry here & there to align bolt holes. Good product at a good price but I would pay a couple bucks more for better installation instructions. |

i purchased the vertical hitch for my 'o6 gl1800 mostly because of the clever idea of how it was mounted. was impressed with the welds and machining of all the parts, except the forward attach points. after reading of other folks having problems with the bags being pushed out of alignment, causing the rear fender panel not to fit properly anymore, i looked for a better way to secure it. first i made a measuring tool to measure the distance between the inside of the forward mounting points pm the frame and then built a jig to hold the mount in place for the new measurement. using a hydraulic press i bent the left mount arm a little more at the bend in it and cut the right arm just behind the pumpkin, at the heatsheild of the right muffler. i then took 1/4 in flat stock to make a splice and welded the two pieces back togeather with the forward portion rotated 180 degrees and offset about 3/4 in to the right. this mod allowed both arms to be mounted inside the frame with about 3/8 clearance between the swingarm and bolt head and clear the pumpkin. i know this sounds like a lot of work but the results was absolutely worth every min. i just finished making the cooler tray mount to go with it and it doesn't even wiggle under 220 lbs. test weight. |

Good value for the money. Nice for hitch to be hidden. Crappy instructions. Google the net and find Bushtek instructions to help you. Best way is just lay the pieces and and test fit. You don't have to drop the mufflers. BUT you do have to remove the little 1/2" tubing cross-piece between the saddlebags at the very bottom behind the rear wheel to get this thing on. Be VERY careful not to strip the holes where the forward part of the frame where the hitch arms go into (the front saddlebad mounts). The holes are threaded into the aluminum frame and you can screw them up pretty quick. Wrassle with it and you'll be happy. Geets |

HAD MINE FOR A YEAR NOW. NO PROBLEMS WITH TOWING. THE FIT WAS TIGHT ON MY 06. I DIDN'T FOLLOW THE DIRECTION ALL THE WAY. I PUSHED AND SHOVED TILL I GOT THE BARS INTO PLACE WITHOUT LOOSENING THE BAGS LIKE THEY SAY. STILL ALL IN ALL FOR THE MONEY THEY ARE NOT BAD. I HAD TO REPLACE A TIRE ALSO AND HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THE HITCH. I EVEN WENT TO THE DARKSIDE WITH A CAR TIRE AND STILL HAD NO PROBLEM. |

I did not install this product on my bike as it was delayed for shipment and I had to purchase a hitch locally and ended up with a Kuryakyn. What I did find out in the process however was that you do not need to buy the receiver that they list at the bottom. There is a chrome one included with the hitch along with the 1 7/8" ball. I was led to believe that you needed to order it seperately which is false. |

Fabulous. It is solid and good looking. And the ability to remove the hitch when not in use is a nice touch. Install is challenging but not difficult. Be patient and careful. As others have noted, the included instructions are basically worthless. Dropping the muffler's is easy and helps some but you can install without doing so. But what the instructions don;t point out, is removing the rear crash guard is imperative. I got CWOLAW's instructions too late to help. I received them just a few minutes after completing the install. They would have been very useful. Highly recommended! |

Even with the poor pictures, it was easy enough to figure out. Not rocket science. '06 is a tight fit, but it does fit. Best to have a helping hand. I had to tap the holes, they were full of paint, no problem. Seems to be solid enough, time will tell. You do need to lay on the ground to install and remove reciever but that's what you get for having a HIDDEN hitch, deal with it. Over all, I am happy. |

Just installed the hitch on my 07 and it was a little difficult to align the bolt holes. Having someone help with aligning the bolt holes you would have no problems with the install, especially if you get CWOLAW's instructions. Thanks Steve! Once it was on it looks and works great, money well spent. |

After reading the reviews, I had some misgivings about this hitch. But, I liked it so I ordered it anyway. The instructions are POOR. Never the less the instalation was very simple. Took me about 45 minutes. And it looks great and works perfectly on my bike. I did not encounter any misfitment problems or any problems at all in fact. Great hitch, Fantastic pricing!!
