Like others, I removed the fender. Made for an easy install. Also, like others stated, the instructions don't mention right and left side rubbers. I guess they think they are self explanatory. They also don't mention the fender aluminum step spacers, which I had left over. Other than that, great product! |

Good match
I got this one because I like the look and I think the shape of it matches well with factory brake cover. I agree with other reviews, take the fender off and work it on a table with a cloth under it. Everything is easier, especially getting both sides even before you drill. It does a good job of keeping stuff off but nothing will do a 100%. |

Save yourself a boatload of frustration. Remove the fender. It's not all that difficult & will allow you to clean it & drill the necessary holes precisely. This may save you from experiencing the cracking problem some have experienced. Flap will not catch all road debris; so don't expect the cowling to be road grime free. Overall, it does a very good job. |

Installed this to go along with the belly pan I installed. Simple install and looks pretty good. Haven't ridden with it much so verdict is out on toughness. |

we got this Extention to help protect our chrome lower cowl. Very easy install. The directions tell you to be careful not to drill through and hit your tire. We put a peice of wood behind the fender, that help easethe stress of drilling the tire. looks great and stops alot of chips to the body work. |

Love the look but requires you to drill your expensive plastic and that's not something to tackle lightly. Got a mate to help with fitting coz I was wary of the sizeable sticky pad grabbing hold of the fender before I lined up the bolt holes. Looks great and stops crap getting chucked on my engine casing. I have a 150m unsealed driveway so this was a no brainer.... |

Installed on 2012 ABS GL1800. I'm adding this info for those that have a 2012 and were wondering what will fit. I will review 27 items that I installed on my 2012. Rated '3' stars because there are no support brakets to keep the rear fender from cracking. Show Chrome has brakets for their fender extension. My mechanic orders that Show Chrome brackets and installed them with this extension. Looks good and should not have to worry about cracking my rear fender. (he had a cracked fender extension in his shop due to Kuryakyn extension w/o support brackets). |

This was a very easy installation. I had the all chrome extension on my last wing and opted for this one because of the flexible flap which is less likely to damage the fender on rough roads. I'm sure it will stop all the crap from ending up on the lower front of the bike. It looks great too! |
