| One of the low beam headlights went out on my 2008 GL1800. I ordered two new bulbs to replace both headlight bulbs and kept the old, but yet good one for a spare. I agree with a previous customer in that the YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_Jtx6UH9Xg is very good.Changing the burned out bulb was very easy with only a little attention to detail required. Things to remember:1. Each low beam headlight bulb can be reached by turning the handlebar left or right to increase the arm room under the dash.2. Use your fingertip to push the wire clip forward and while still pushing, move it down to unlock. Flip it up and to the right to clear the bulb.3. When replacing the bulb, the silver tab or key should be pointed up4. Be sure to use a soft cloth when handling the replacement bulb in order to not put any finger oil on the bulb which can shorten its lifespan. |
| When I tried to install it I have a big gap in the middle that will not stick down. I scratched my paint trying to get it to work. Not very happy with this product. I watched several video's and everyone's seem to fit correctly, but mine seems to be curved to much and will not allow the middle to stick down. I will need to send mine back and get another one that hopefully fits like it should. |
| I wanted to purchase this from WingStuff but they were out of stock so I ended up getting it elsewhere, but I wanted to still review it here.This may be my favorite accessory so far. Yes, it took a while to install and you have to also purchase the harness separately, but I absolutely love having a bright light that comes on automatically when the truck is opened. I also didn’t want something that looked like it was an afterthought. This light works without the bike being turned on which is nice, as long as the key fob is turned on and nearby.I highly recommend this light. |
| Well engineered, plug & play, very well made. My only disappointment is that the DRL's aren't as bright as they appear on videos. Maybe they're being overpowered by my LED driving lights & headlights, but I feel like they need to be brighter than they are. Personal tip. Put some dielectric grease in the connection. |
| I have been searching for a rack that would fit with the brake light fin for a long time... This was reasonably priced and easy to install |
| Very comfortable. It sits right below the scapula bone and provides great support. Highly recomend getting this if you have a Corbin seat. |
| I have owned 4 corbin seats over the years. I have tried after market backrests and they never worked. The Corbin branded backrest is the best choice for a Corbin seat. You would think I would have tons of backrests from Corbin but alas everytime I sale my prior model bike the buyer wants the seat and backrest included. Which I see as a testament to the quality and comfort. At 5'9" the backrest goes about three quarter up my back falling just below the scapula bone. My backrest was recieved without the goldwing logo at the back but that didn't bother me. I have always had the Corbin backrest with the hole in them but I think the sold is actually more comfortable. If you have never owned a Corbin back rest make sure you read the instructions on how to adjust them before you start messing around with the bolts. Years ago I purchased a backrest and stripped the adjustment bolt for angle adjustment, simply because I didn't follow instructions. |
| Fit and finish are great. Install took less than 30 minutes. Overall happy with the purchase. The bigger cup holder fits well with plenty of clearance. |
| Bought to he kit and IMMEDIATELY over thought it. The directions talk about swapping relays and you're there. Gen 1 has the relay integrated into the instrument cluster. Look for the random connection just sitting there. The guy on YouTube calls it out. Unplug them, plug the matching connector onto the side leading to the cluster and the hyper flash is fixed. No idea what happens to the other side of the connection. |
| Ok, I just put them in and it got dark before I coud do much but I turned the lights on after I got the first one in. Big difference. Makes my stock fog lights look weak. I guess we know what's next. Easy install using YouTube. |
| I have had corbins before, so I knew what to expect. They are firm but comfortable. Like a tractor seat with no padding it just kinda cups and creates more contact points so that the weight is more evenly distributed. In my experience soft seats just break down until you hit the seat pan and once that happens it's no good. Corbin may be firm but it keeps you comfortable on those long rides. For reference I am 5 foot 9 inches and I also have the fully adjustable helibars. The Corbin seat sits you back 2 inches and gives more leg room but without the helibars I would not have been able to comfortably reach my bars. |
