| I appreciate the fact that you can actually clear the bugs off the windshield at a gas station using the free wiper fluid and a standard paper towel. However, road debris i.e. small stones will and does chip the windshield. After a year I have a half a dozen of them and there is really nothing you can do to avoid them. I all likelihood you'll have to replace the unit after a couple of years anyhow. Would you be better off replacing a cheaper unit more often. Just a thought |

Received the windshield quickly and well packaged. The product appears to be of very high quality and fit perfectly into position. The instructions were mediocre at best so check out the videos on YouTube for a smoother install. Now about the performance. Up to 40 MPH there seemed to be little difference from stock. Around 50 MPH there was a slight but noticeable difference from stock. From 60 to 80 MPH is where I noticed the most performance difference over stock. The buffeting level changed very little between those speeds and I would describe that as very good performance indeed. My rider describes the difference over stock about the same as I but, as usual, with the rear riding position having slightly more turbulence than the front. Over all, on a scale from 1 to 10 with the stock windshield being a 7 I would rate the Quantum Special Edition a 8.75. I gave it a one star penalty because the extra thickness made the height adjustment much more difficult(but not impossible). I am a set-it and forget-it kind of guy so that is not a big deal for me personally. Plus, I believe the extra thickness might contribute to it's performance because of less edge deflection. I dought there is a windshield made that eliminates all turbulence so don't expect that from this one. Is it worth the extra money over the std. VStream? I don't know but it sure is pretty. | Just installed in the wife's helmet and took it out to test. The amount of noise this headset picked up and transmitted was terrible. Ended up turning volume down so i could hear the radio. I read all the other reviews and thought it would be a good buy. Should have spent another $100 or so and got the J&M Elite. Live and learn! |

| Nice looking but function is a bit awkward for me. I am 5'7" with a 30" inseam. I am constanrly having to lift the boards so I can get my feet down at stops. starting back up if you don't get them down fast enough the first shift is not timed well. they are great on the highway. |
| The product is very good. the instructions are very bad. I had a washer pack that was not spoken about at all in the instructions. These were worse than ussual for Kuryakan. The 3 stars are for the instructions only. The pegs are great. |
| Absolutely a MUST HAVE if you wear pins on your riding clothing. I haven't lost a pin in the 20,000 miles since I started using them two years ago. They are worth every penny when you consider the actual and sentimental value of your pins. |

So far so good. I spent the time to make cut outs for the speakers and install them into the helmet. The bass is good and I have the volume set 2 or 3 less than when I use the speakers. The instructions state that if the speakers are not set into the helmet liner, they will not have the correct bass responce. The mike works great and in a full face helmet has little wind noise. Worth the price. |
| Just installed this windshield a week ago, and love it!! It seems to push the air a little further out so there isn't any turbulent around my helmet. The real test is next weekend with my SO on the back. She will tell me how much better it is. I hope she likes it...... |
| A must if you have large hands...cramps are gone. They are a bit of a pain to install. They take out most of the heat available, and take a long time to heat up. The throttle boss is nice too. They should interface with chrome bar end shimmy dampeners, but don't. |
| These are the best extras I have purchased yet. I did have to sand the plastic gasket that interfaces with the stock shifter to get a smooth shift however. I have a seize 12 foot, am 6'3" tall, so I left the front chrome piece off. I can still down shift just fine. A must have for long rides...very comfortable! |

Knowing that only a few bikes would need this size of a cover, the only issue I have is no reenforcment support near the antennas for flags. I ordered this cover simply because of the zipper. So far no issues with the zipper. Time will tell. Had the standard model - no zipper on my VIC since 2005. Other than an inadvertent burn (I caused), cover is doing fine and still in use. |
