| just finished installing the Rivco arm rests. It took exactly 25 minutes! At first I was worried with what seemed to be short and inadequate instructions (1 piece of paper), but it turned out that this install was so simple and easy that it was all you need. I especially liked the one piece rubber grommet/ expansion nuts that are used to hold the arms on the trunk box. A lot easier than trying to hold an arm rest, a bolt, washers, and nut then two wrenches to tighten them down with when you are doing the install by yourself like I did. All you need is to finger tighten and then snug them up with the supplied allen wrench. BE SURE THAT YOU LINE UP THE LOCATIONS FOR THE 4 HOLES YOU HAVE TO DRILL CORRECTLY! It is simple to do, just look at the color picture and follow the instructions and it is a piece of cake. It actually took me longer to put on the cup holder I bought for it (couldn't find a chromed bolt that looked good enough). The most important part of all this, my wife loves them and loves the way they were adjustable for height and swing UP and completely out of the way for getting on and off. |
| I have put over 250K on Dunlop tires but was a bit unhappy with them on my 1800 Goldwing. The traction seemed very poor especially on wet roads. After trying the Metzeler I am going back to the Dunlop. The Metzeler began cupping after 3-4K, then started howling due to the cupping. It got worse as the tires wore, noise so bad I could not even listen to the radio. I never experienced that type of road noise from my tires, but I do not plan to use these again. They seem fine on my Suzuki Boulevard. |
| Are tires discounted with VIP membership? I am ready to buy 2 sets of these tires and am new to WingStuff . . . |
| JUST GOT BACK FROM A 5000 MILE TRIP,RIDING 2 UP W/TRAILER AND THE SMOOTHEST RIDE EVER ON OUR 2010 GL1800. HAD ANOTHER SET ON A 2003 WING WHICH ALSO WAS SOOO SMOOTH, I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE TO ANYONE WHO WANTS CONTROL OF THEIR BIKE. THIS PRODUCT PERFORMS WAY BEYOND WHAT IT IS ADVERTISED TO DO. |
| Love the lights!!! Was not hard to install but you better know were you want them because when you let go of them they stick !!!! Once I got them in place they look great!!! I also got the rear ring of fire. Not hard to install.... I had a hard time with the wireing for both and couldnt find were to hook them up under the fareing so I put both on one switch so I can turn them on and off I will still give both of them a 5 because they are bright and look real nice at night I just think the wireing part of the instuctions could have been better !!!! |

I guess everyone has their own opinion on what is good or bad for the most part. Before changing to the Metzelers, (which BTW I now have 14,000 miles on both of them), my Dunlop E 3's as previously stated were severely cupped by 5000 miles. Unless Dunlop can get their acts together, I will never put that brand of tire on my Wing again. In my opinion, the quality is not there. Honda must be getting those Dunlop tires dirt cheap to have them as their tire of choice. What I have done to obtain the high mileage on my tires is the following. I went 7 lbs over in the front and 9 lbs over in the back. After complaining to Dunlop's Factory Rep, his response was to add more tire pressure, same as stated above. Also going to Nitrogen in both tires improved the ride further and I also got 3 more mpg. I can only tell you what has worked for me so far. I'm enjoying the way the bike handles with these tires now and would I purchase them again, ABSOLUTELY ! You will not be disappointed. |

I purchased the Oversize Beaded Seat Cover to help cool off by butt from the Florida summer heat. I also have a Utopia back rest on my seat and it causes my back to sweat profusely, so I ended up putting the Oversize Beaded Seat Cover on the back rest and it fit really well and works great. I will probably end up buying another one to use on the seat. |
| I've used this for 2 and a half years and 40,000 miles. It works. I'm buying another to modify for the back seat because the kury armrest cup holder sux. |
| I put one on my '04 Goldwing and just bought one for my new '12. As many others, I was a bit concerned about cutting the seat but it was no big deal. On the '04 it looked OEM and I am expecting it to look the same on the '12. GREAT product! |
