Let me start by saying that I have over 40 years of riding, racing and building experience on over 30 motorcycles. This is about a 3-4 hour job if you are proficient with tools and your Goldwing. Be sure and put new oil in BEFORE mount back on the motorcyle!!! I had Progressive springs, 10 wt oil, fork brace with anti-dive shim in place and was pretty happy with the front suspension. Having put in the Monotube Cartridge kit now for a month I give it a thumbs up as an improvement. Consistent dampening with correct sag. The ONLY area that these are NOT better is over very small sharp edged bumps. They are not terrible, but not as smooth. I am happy over all with the improvement. DO NOT put in 2 preload shims. As a matter of fact, if I did not have to completely disassemble forks again, I would try it with no shim to see if theat helps the small bump issue. PS I dropped forks in tubes 1/2 inch for quicker handling with less initial sag and dive. |
| This battery is AWESOME! No matter which model you get you will not be disappointed. I got the largest. It has enough cold cranking amps to turn over most cars! It cranks my 2002 GL1800 like crazy. It comes with many pieces of very good adhesive foam pieices for fitment. The large one requires 1/4 inch foam on each side and then is a direct boltin. DO NOT FORGET to look at the instruction pictures and to connect the bar that enables the battery to function!!!! |
| Good for the price! They are a snug fit. You need to cram in the corners and then they are fine. |
| Looks good. Be careful snipping out the fog light covers... Also, recommend installing inner most screws first working out to the two on the bottom of each side and then finally the push pins. |

Of all the accessories I purchased for my Wing, this is the one that I think is the wisest investment but has me left ‘undecided’ after installing it a week ago and riding 2,200Kms already. I bought one because my mate has a TPMS fitted as standard to his Kawasaki GTR1400 and it alerted him to falling tyre pressure because of a puncture. At the time we were riding through the countryside at circa 120Kmph so it was a good thing to be warned early. I fitted the Tiregard to my Wing and am still getting used to it. It doesn’t work like the factory fitted GTR unit as the readouts are fairly inconsistent. The safest reading is the one taken first thing in the morning, when the tyres are cold, and provided, the bike is not sitting in the sunlight. At the moment, I’m setting the high pressure warnings very high at 55+ because sunlight and riding causes it to alarm when there is nothing wrong. I’m basically using it now to alarm me if the tyre pressure drops. So, the jury is out at the moment but I reckon, for a few hundred dollars, if it warns me of a puncture it’s probably saving me in more than one way. If anything changes I’ll post and update. Great product and one of those things that looks to be worth far more than was paid for it. Looks particularly fantastic on my black 2012 Goldwing. No problems fitting it, just needed a little patience and a steady hand to remove the blanking plates because my Wing has fog lights. One word of caution though, the edges are sharper than the OEM cowl so mind your hands when fitting and cleaning. Just need more chrome now !!!! |
| I have had this flagpole for about 2 years and have had great service with it. I think most of the problems people are having with it is very easy to correct simply by using just a little blue locktite on the pole screw and mount. The only problem i had was it is a little tricky to get adjusted correctly when first mounting it. I really like the looks and folddown part. Would definately buy again! |

Installation is a piece of cake. FYI, toss the 1/4 lock washers aside, use larger washers and 242 loctite. Forget the knife, get yourself a $2.49 12" demolition Reciprocating Saw Blade at your local building supplier. Wrap a rag around it and make a couple of passes toward the holes you drill. You will be able to clearly see the blade when you near the holes. Before inserting the backrest bracket use a 5/16 drill to cut a lead/countersink in the 1/4-28 holes. Just a lead, do not allow the drill to remove more than a thread or two. You may need to run a tap into the holes to clear up the first thread or two. The possibility of cross threading is then eliminated. Insert the backrest bracket, use 1/4 x 1" washers to add better support, remember this is plastic not metal you are bolting the bracket to. Installation time is thirty minutes to an hour including pulling and replacing the seat if you get all the tools in place to do the job before you start. By the way, don't worry about cutting the seat you'll get over it, at least I did. Good luck |

Installed them as I invested in some pegs for myself and decided I better not be selfish so bought these for my wife. We've ridden over 2,000kms since I installed them and she's not complained (that's progress for most of us). They fit in minutes and look great and she's now got the choice of two different positions for her feet. |

Great product, well constructed, solid and fits snugly to the Wing. The instructions are fine (plenty of words) but seriously lack pictures. Fortunately someone photographed every step of his installation and posted them and this saved me lots of time. Check out https://myplace.frontier.com/~kipdoran/bushtecv2trailerhitch/index.html I had a mate to help me and it made a big different - ideally, it's not a job to be undertake on your own. Lastly, for those non-US based Wingers, the bloody fittings appear to be a mixture of metric and US Standard Units (inches) so I had to pop to a hardware store and purchase extra tools. All in all, fantastic product. I deducted 1 star because of the installation instructions and mixed bag of fittings. PS - Aaron from Wingstuff did a fantastic job of sourcing and shipping this to me in Australia with days to spare before I departed on a week long ride North. |
| Change my first one at 32,000 miles kind of dirty have 55,000 now another ten before i change it again. Forty mpg when i changed it and still at forty now. |
