Bridgestone Tire COMBO for GL1800 G704/G709
ITEM CODE: WSBRCOMBO,   SKU: WSBRCOMBO

Ted
My Wing is an 03 and came with the origanal Dunlops. I first replaced them with Elite III's and liked the handling. They were noisy. Then the front began cupping badly and eventually introduced a little wobble occasionally. Back tire was fine. Then I replaced them with the Stones. The Stones have not been cupping or wobbling, but they do not last quite as long as the Elite III's. The Stones do not like tar strips as many have mentioned. The rear does not wear as evenly as the Dunlop does. Note that I discovered the running about 3 or 4 lbs. of air over the recommended pressures makes the bike more stable and significantly reduces front cupping. I am an aggressive back-road rider (no interstates) that wears out tires faster than most people. If I get 12K miles on a set, I am happy. I have Metzeler and Pirelli experience on my sport bikes but not on the Wing. I do not care for them and prefer Michelins or Dunlops. I wish Michelin made tires for the Wing.

This is an update to my privious review. I now have little over 6000 miles on these tires and everything look good. I have rode in very wet conditions, also in area of where snow was still along the shoulder of the roads. These tire handle very well as long as you use common sense with you driving. I have another trip planned at the end of May for the Dakotas, Minnisota,Wisconsin and Iowa an this set of ME880 tires with be making that trip. Keep a check on the air pressures that does make a lot of difference on the life and handling of these or any tire.

Nice organizer but it will reduce the volume of your trunk so you cant store your helmet,
I wish they change the design in order not to effect the volume of the trunk.
I removed the storage pouches from the board and attached them directly to the trunk

Bought the kit to replace the OEM that came with my bike that was borrowed by a friend.

Having this kit more than replaces the tools that came with my Wing or Valkyrie.

Factory OEM Brake Pads for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG03702

02.05.2013
It's not often that the factory part beats out ALL other aftermarket brands, but when it comes to Brake Pads, ONLY the Hondaline OEM pads will do the job.

I ride on the Gold Angels Motorcycle Drill Team, and the slow-speed maneuvers we have in our routine requires near-constant trail-braking to control the speed and maneuverability. This means we go through a lot of brake pads, and I can tell you from personal experience, aftermarket pads don't even hold a candle to the Hondaline pads.

In particular, stay away from EBC pads. They overheat very quickly, causing "Brake Fade" on the rear caliper which is extremely dangerous. I can ride 30-40 minutes on the practice field on Hondaline pads before needing to give my Goldwing a rest, but EBC pads cause brake fade at about 10-15 minutes.

Kuryakyn Armrest w/ Drink Holder for GL1800
ITEM CODE: KU8991,   SKU: KU8991

This junk rusts out every year. I have tried everything to stop the rust with no luck. I complained to Kuryakan with no results. I cannot afford 200 plus dollars a year just to change armrests. Don't waste your money. I have changed them out three times and they still rust. How come the cheap plastic parts still look good and the expensive stuff looks bad?

Kruzer Kaddy Drink Holder
ITEM CODE: PG20116

I bought this because it was pictured with the Rivco Armrests. The cup holder looks good but it is not of the best quality. It swivels and there isn't a way to tighten it to prevent it from happening. It finally fell off my bike while I was cruising one day. Fortunately it didn't do significant damage to my saddle bag (small scratch) but the holder itself was damaged and mounting hardware lost. I guess as it continued to swivel and I adjusted it, it became loose. I am very disappointed in this product and will not purchase again. 2 stars for looks only.
