Got to ride about 150 miles today on the new rear tire. I've owned this bike since 06 and have put 70k miles on it. These are the smoothest tires I have had. Here is the thing. Run 42lb the front and 44-46 in the rear Also 2oz of ceramic balance beads in each from the very start. Just hope they last longer than 8k |

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE
Just got new E4 mounted today on the back. 2 oz. ceramic balance beads installed for balance. Running 44lbs in the rear and 42 in the front. Not had a chance to really try it out yet. Very smooth ride home. About 10 miles. I really hope these work out. |

Update update
Ok, since I wrote the last review I have talked with a Dunlop factory rep. He has convinced me to give another try on the E4. I may have been running the pressure to low. I will have to give their customer service 5 stars. He had me to take pictures and send them to him. He then sent them to Dunlop engineering dept to analyze the wear pattern. Results were most likely a combination of low pressure and agressive riding. So since I already have a E4 on the front I am going to give e them another chance running higher pressure but most likely will not change riding habits....I live near the Cherohalla Skyway and the Dragon😎😎. |

Up date
Looks like 8 k is going to get the back tire. Going back to Bridgestone. If you ride straight up may be ok. But if you ride even the least bit aggressive the side will wear way before the center. Also noisy. |

GREAT Ride So Far!
I have had only Dunlop tires on my 2008 GL 1800 since it was purchased new. On 9/16/2017 at 71,000 miles, I put new Dunlop Elite 4 tires on (front and rear). I've now ridden 500 miles, mostly highway, and love them. I have Centramatic wheel balancers on the bike and have gotten excellent mileage on my previous Dunlops. Unfortunately, even with the high mileage, my last pair of tires showed a bit of cupping. I'm hoping that these last as long as my previous sets, cupping or not. I like the feel of these tires and highly recommend them. |

E4 front and rear!
Put E4 on the rear several months ago. Presently have about 2500 miles on it Just put a new E4 on the front a couple weeks ago. So far I really like the combo You do hear a little noise in the corners if you go hard enough to drag the pegs but that's really not a complaint. I have ridden several miles in hard rain and they seem to work great there also. We'll see how the milage works out. I Do a combination of riding in the Twisties and highway. |

bad handling
Just had elite 4 tires front and back put on at Laconia bike week and drove home on them. The front kept diving side to side. I don't know if it has to get some miles on it . Has anyone had this issue? |

Best tire so far!
I recently passed 180,000 km (about 110,000 miles) so like others have said - lots of tires. I generally change both tires at the same time - just like the newly broken in tire feel. These Elite 4's have about 15,000 kms (just under 10,000 miles) on them and they still look great and ride nice. I over inflate them a bit and there's been no cupping - the centre core is as advertised - longer wear, so I'm hoping to get my best mileage yet... I also have the Centramatic wheel balances and have no issues with balancing. Another plus is the tires hold pressure good - I check prior to every ride (only takes a minute - so I'm on top of that)) - I love these tires. |

Elite 4
I put a set of Elite 4 tires on my 2012 wing in June, 10,000 miles later they still have good tread and for me are the best tire for sticking to the pavement, I had the Bridgestones on the bike twice, and both sets lasted about 10,000 miles, I do like the Bridgestones but for me I am loving these Elite 4's and will replace with another set. |

Dunlop Elite 4
I have 400 miles on my Elite 4 rear tire. I have ridden my GL1800 through just over 100,000 miles, so I have been through a lot of tires. Bridgestone, Dunlop, Metzler. I am currently running a Bridgestone on the front and Dunlop Elite 4 on the rear. I wasn't thrilled with the wear on the Elite 3 front tire. I have Centramatic dynamic balancers and upgraded front springs and steering bearings, so I expect excellent wear. I like the new tread pattern on the Elite 4. It is amazingly unprovoked by road ruts, even 6" wide 1/2" deep tire impressions in asphalt, smooth and quiet as silk, I corner hard enough to scape the pegs and it is super smooth in the turns as well. We will see as time goes on, but so far, I am very happy with the performance of the Elite 4. And Wingstuff is the best place to get one! Ross, San Clemente, Ca. |
