Tires
These tires that I bought might be good or bad I have a 2012 Goldwing with 10,000 and after new tires installed I have a low speed front tire wobble Honda shop balance again said its the front tire.I love Bridgestones Tires and never had a low speed wobble before even with worn down tires but I dont what to do because I bought online tires and if would have bought honda dealer tires a new one would been installed with out any problems already (Honda Shop stated this).I love Wing Stuff but this makes rethink buy tires online. |

Tire trials
My Wing is an 03 and came with the origanal Dunlops. I first replaced them with Elite III's and liked the handling. They were noisy. Then the front began cupping badly and eventually introduced a little wobble occasionally. Back tire was fine. Then I replaced them with the Stones. The Stones have not been cupping or wobbling, but they do not last quite as long as the Elite III's. The Stones do not like tar strips as many have mentioned. The rear does not wear as evenly as the Dunlop does. Note that I discovered the running about 3 or 4 lbs. of air over the recommended pressures makes the bike more stable and significantly reduces front cupping. I am an aggressive back-road rider (no interstates) that wears out tires faster than most people. If I get 12K miles on a set, I am happy. I have Metzeler and Pirelli experience on my sport bikes but not on the Wing. I do not care for them and prefer Michelins or Dunlops. I wish Michelin made tires for the Wing. |

Upgrade from the E3's
I bought this set last July and have been extremely satisfied. I put these on due to a poor performing set of E3's and you can certainly tell they are quite a bit quieter than the Dunlops. Have also noticed they seem to be a little softer compound and feel more responsive than the E3s. Ran 3 sets of E3s prior to these and I don't think I will be going back after having ridden these now. Only reason not a 5 star as I have not finished them off to see what kind of mileage I get out of them. |

OEM duns were noise to a point of being irritating. riding buddies suggested Stones 4K later front end wobble caused by cupping but still a lot of tread. Then I read a review that was very helpful. Honda engineer said that cupping can be cause not so much by the tire but by worn Honda parts.... this can cause the problem as it is recommended that at 25/30K the steering bearings should be checked and or replaced, same with the fork springs and rear shock springs. So, the 4K cupping could be caused by poor engineering? Before I replace the tires I will have the above mentioned conditions checked. I'm at 42K on the odometer , could be the problem. So to accurately rate the tire? Until now I've been very satisfied with the performance, noise level isn't nearly as bad as the Duns and they haven't slipped out from under us yet. We ride two up and pull a trailer 65% of the time. Just avoid the road snakes in hot or wet weather. |

Nice Rubber
I've tried Dunnies, Avons, Metzs, etc. and these fair a bit above average. Perhaps my perfect tire isn't out there. I like to hit it hard in the twisties and at the correct pressures and temps these seem to flex just a bit. Your experience may differ. Would I purchase again? YES! WingStuff service and prices rock so I'm a happy camper. |

BridgeStones - Update Review
Earlier 9/2012, i wrote: Just got these Sept. Jury still out. Got about 200 miles on them and still letting them wear in. Replaced Metzler Marathons with these. Loved the handle of the Metz!! Wear on Metz were fair. Now: Raising rating to 4.5 stars after about 2500 miles. Still dont handle quite like the Metz's but they feel pretty damn good on the road and I like them so far - especially for the price. Cant beat that. Will see. Just took a little time to get used to. |

A Different View
Before purchasing any product from Wingstuff, I always read the reviews. Customer input has been a valuable tool in making purchase decisions and I thank those that take the time in writing. And many times, no matter what the product, there always seems to be someone dissatisfied with it. After looking at all the high marks the Stones received, I guess I'm going to be the detractor but I have to relate my experiences with these tires. My set of Bridgestones replaced a set of E-3s. I was very happy with the E-3s except for the road noise after about 10k. Somewhere after 10k I installed some Centramatic wheel balancers and the noise seemed to reduce after a period of time. Got a good 18k on the E-3s, with probably another 4-5k left to go except that I was headed out on a major trip and did not want to change tires while on the trip. So I decided to give the BStones a shot. Here is my experience with them: Immediately after putting the Stones on, I noticed that they seemed to slip and slide way to easily when encountering 'tar snakes' and other objects in the roadway that make some slick spots. Never had an issue like this with the E-3s. Also, at about 15k miles, on my way back home from the Sierras in No. California (about 90 miles), I developed a very noticeable wobble in the bike. When I got home, I (more closely) checked to see if I could determine the cause of the wobble. Noting no problems on the rims or other parts of the bike, I checked the tires and could see that they were wearing very unevenly with cupping and different tread depth depending where I checked on the tire. In any case I decided to go back to the Dunlops. On my way to get the tires replaced, the wobbling increased two fold. When we took the tires off, in that 30 mile ride to the shop, the rubber had split on the rear wheel and the cord was showing through. The Stones only lasted about 15k miles and they probably should have been changed a good 2k miles earlier considering the shape they were in and how quickly they deteriorated. Almost all of the miles were cross country with highway/freeway speeds and little super aggressive cornering. And if the Centramatics improve wear and tear, these tires certainly underperformed in comparison with the Dunlops. Plus I was much more confident in the grip with the E-3's in all weather. |

THIS is your tire
Since installing these back in May, I now have 14k miles on them. No cupping, still a beautiful smooth ride. There is an ever so slight flat spot about 2" wide evenly distrubuted around the center track of both tires...exactly what I would expect. Tons of tread left, no weird wear or "graininess" showing between treads. Again, I believe the centramatic balancers are probably assisting with this, but there aren't enough kudos to throw at these tires for hanging in there tough. At this point, I'm planning to swap to a new pair in the Spring...just because really. At this rate, 30 - 35k doesn't seem unreasonable...usually unheard of for MC tires. |

Update same goes from last review. Love these tires so far they holding up as expected. I was thinking of just trying other tires for my own ratings, but I love these so much that why bother I will keep on getting these from now til they come out with maybe a better technoloty in tires for bikes. You would think if they can make a tire for cars that last 40K or more they would have something like that for bikes they probably. |

Usually run E3's................
Combo pricing was to good to pass up! They seem to be every bit as good as the E3's and they are much quieter. Over 12k so far and all is good.....no cupping front or rear......I'll buy'em again! |

How long will they last?
First time for 'Stones. Elite 3's usually. One set of Avons. Stick like glue but don't last. New "stones: 3,928 miles two up, frway, mtns, desert (Death Valley at 111 degrees!), 6 nat'l parks, one downpour, secondary roads with twists and no problems! Then 1500 miles running passes in Calif. Very aggressive riding one up. Worked fine! No problem staying with buddy running E3's. Some noise but not enough to complain. Little drop off from up to lean in slow turns. Sidewall? Like to save cash ($120 less than E3)so if they last I'll be getting again! |

Day One
I have about 115 miles on a new set of these as of today. I was riding on a disintegrating pair of Avon Cobra's that felt like they were shaped like a stop sign. So needless to say the ride now is better on round tires. I will give these things a few hundred miles and a few different road conditions before i pass judgement on them. But so far so good. They are fairly quite and for being new they handle very well ... so i am looking for that to even improve. We shall see. |
