About:

Retired, married and we enjoy our summer relief from the Florida heat and humidity by traveling the USA on our '09 GL1800.

A couple of years ago we started "House/pet sitting" I use to web sights to make contacts, sending our history, profile and pictures. We have enjoyed the west coast, the south west and the east coast. And hope to be able to enjoy (again) the great NW next summer.

If you would like more information on house/pet sitting you may contact us at: [email protected] we will be happy to assist you or house/pet sit for you.

Be safe, ride safe.

Bridgestone Tire COMBO for GL1800 G704/G709
ITEM CODE: WSBRCOMBO,   SKU: WSBRCOMBO

02.01.2013
OEM duns were noise to a point of being irritating. riding buddies suggested Stones 4K later front end wobble caused by cupping but still a lot of tread. Then I read a review that was very helpful. Honda engineer said that cupping can be cause not so much by the tire but by worn Honda parts.... this can cause the problem as it is recommended that at 25/30K the steering bearings should be checked and or replaced, same with the fork springs and rear shock springs. So, the 4K cupping could be caused by poor engineering? Before I replace the tires I will have the above mentioned conditions checked. I'm at 42K on the odometer , could be the problem. So to accurately rate the tire? Until now I've been very satisfied with the performance, noise level isn't nearly as bad as the Duns and they haven't slipped out from under us yet. We ride two up and pull a trailer 65% of the time. Just avoid the road snakes in hot or wet weather.

We purchased our GW1800 from a Bushtec dealer and had the Bushtec hitch installed at the dealership before picking up the bike using the Bushtec receiver, not the ball mount. We have pulled the trailer over 20K miles in the last two years. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
