Balance mileage against performance
There is a balance between tire mileage and traction. Some people may like the great mileage you get on the Dunlops, but I find that the "stickiness" of the Bridgestones make for such a better ride that I am more than willing to give up tread. I have been doing over 18K a year - so I go through tires - but prefer the safe and solid feel. I have found these to run true (especially when I also add Dynabeads) with no cupping and they really stick to the curves. While traveling last summer I mis-calculated and had to get a tire before I got home. Dealer only had the Dunlop and I hated the ride so much I only put about 2K on it before I replaced the tire. |

Much Better than my old E-3's
I have a 2006 GL1800 and ride a good mix of 2-up and solo. The OEM D250 got me about 8,000 on the rear tire before needing changed. I went to the Dunlop E-3. It was a smooth ride but it started cupping badly at about 7,000 miles and it was replaced at 8,400 miles. My front tire was cupping very badly with the E-3 as well. I've had 2 sets of E-3's and got the same results with both. I watch my tire pressures closely and don't feel that was an issue. Last Fall I went to the new Bridstone. The ride is smoother, the traction is way better - I go through curves like I'm glued to the road and the best thing so far is that the GL1800 front end wobble when decelerating is gone. So far no cupping either. It's just a much better tire for the GL1800 in my opinion. My best friend replaced his E-3's on his 2008 GL1800 and has almost the same exact findings - no wobble, no cupping and better traction. |

Bridgestone vs. Dunlop E-3
I run a 2008 with E-3's. My brother runs a 2012 with the Bridgestones shown here. We were comparing wear yesterday, brother has 8,000 miles on his bike, (mostly without a passenger) He needs a new rear tire now-- center three inces is flat and slick. His front tire shows little wear. My E-3's have 13,000 on them now, mostly two up riding, and I'm certain to make it to 18,000. My rear tire won't be in nearly as bad condition(maybe inch center flat) as the stones are already with only 8K. We both do good tire maintenance and ride about the same way and on the same trips. I will definitely be replacing by dunlops with dunlops. Yes, they make a little noise, but that's the only negative and it's not significant enought for me to give up that kind of mileage. |

great deaL
Was running the e3s and did not like the feel as well as they cupped real bad.I decided to try these and wow these stick to the road a lot better, they take a little getting used to with the tar snakes but the ride and the cornering are much better. |

Good Deal
I used to run Dunlop E3's. But since Honda moved production of the Goldwing back to Japan this is the OEM tire now, and the price for the combo is a Sweet Deal. Ran a set of these last year and I have 12,000 miles on them now so I just ordered a new Combo set for the Summer. |

WAAAY better than the E3s.
I bought these a few months ago and wanted to put some miles on them before I wrote my review. I have done so and I have to say that these are a SIGNIFICANT upgrade from the OEM E3s. I got about 10k on my E3s before the center rear was just worn to the threads. I always keep my tire pressure up (I prefer to run 40F/42R) and even still, the cupping on the E3 was horrid. I now have about 4k on the Bridgestones and they are holding up marvelously. There is still a little cupping, but that is normal for any tire with the stock suspension and it is truly minimal, but then again, I am a pretty aggressive rider and demand quite a bit from my tires. The grip is fantastic and they are very confidence inspiring. As far as road noise goes, they are very quiet while on the center, but they do hum a bit while leaning. Wet traction is excellent. Dry traction is what you would expect from a 'stone. Shortly after break in, I took them up to US-129, known by many as the "Tail of the Dragon" and they were flawless peg to peg. BOTTOM LINE: I will never go back to the Dunlops, which slipped out from under me one day while turning on a wet patch of an intersection, and have regained all confidence in heavy bike tires with these Bridgestones. They are a quiet and comfortable ride with more than adequate grip, even wear, and good durability. Unless they perfect the hoverbike, this will be my next set of tires as well. |

Tires
These tires that I bought might be good or bad I have a 2012 Goldwing with 10,000 and after new tires installed I have a low speed front tire wobble Honda shop balance again said its the front tire.I love Bridgestones Tires and never had a low speed wobble before even with worn down tires but I dont what to do because I bought online tires and if would have bought honda dealer tires a new one would been installed with out any problems already (Honda Shop stated this).I love Wing Stuff but this makes rethink buy tires online. |

Tire trials
My Wing is an 03 and came with the origanal Dunlops. I first replaced them with Elite III's and liked the handling. They were noisy. Then the front began cupping badly and eventually introduced a little wobble occasionally. Back tire was fine. Then I replaced them with the Stones. The Stones have not been cupping or wobbling, but they do not last quite as long as the Elite III's. The Stones do not like tar strips as many have mentioned. The rear does not wear as evenly as the Dunlop does. Note that I discovered the running about 3 or 4 lbs. of air over the recommended pressures makes the bike more stable and significantly reduces front cupping. I am an aggressive back-road rider (no interstates) that wears out tires faster than most people. If I get 12K miles on a set, I am happy. I have Metzeler and Pirelli experience on my sport bikes but not on the Wing. I do not care for them and prefer Michelins or Dunlops. I wish Michelin made tires for the Wing. |

Upgrade from the E3's
I bought this set last July and have been extremely satisfied. I put these on due to a poor performing set of E3's and you can certainly tell they are quite a bit quieter than the Dunlops. Have also noticed they seem to be a little softer compound and feel more responsive than the E3s. Ran 3 sets of E3s prior to these and I don't think I will be going back after having ridden these now. Only reason not a 5 star as I have not finished them off to see what kind of mileage I get out of them. |

Bridgestone combo
OEM duns were noise to a point of being irritating. riding buddies suggested Stones 4K later front end wobble caused by cupping but still a lot of tread. Then I read a review that was very helpful. Honda engineer said that cupping can be cause not so much by the tire but by worn Honda parts.... this can cause the problem as it is recommended that at 25/30K the steering bearings should be checked and or replaced, same with the fork springs and rear shock springs. So, the 4K cupping could be caused by poor engineering? Before I replace the tires I will have the above mentioned conditions checked. I'm at 42K on the odometer , could be the problem. So to accurately rate the tire? Until now I've been very satisfied with the performance, noise level isn't nearly as bad as the Duns and they haven't slipped out from under us yet. We ride two up and pull a trailer 65% of the time. Just avoid the road snakes in hot or wet weather. |

Nice Rubber
I've tried Dunnies, Avons, Metzs, etc. and these fair a bit above average. Perhaps my perfect tire isn't out there. I like to hit it hard in the twisties and at the correct pressures and temps these seem to flex just a bit. Your experience may differ. Would I purchase again? YES! WingStuff service and prices rock so I'm a happy camper. |
