ITEM: KU7314

I installed each side of these with two very small stainless screws installed from the bottom on both sides by drilling the plastic. not visible and can easily be removed later with not visibility of the screws. Forget the gluing not worth the trouble and the worry about glue coming loose is a high heat area. 5 minutes and your done- just ride.. Air flow off these is slightly different than without but I didn't find an issue with that..

Chrome Lower Front Cowl for GL1800
ITEM CODE: BB52608,   SKU: BB52608

I've added this and the chrome center engine cover. The cowl fit perfectly for me. IT looks great- one of the best improvements in appearance that I could recommend. Seems to be very good quality- fit was super on my 2008.

Quick Release Drink Holder for GL1800, GL1500
ITEM CODE: WSDH1,   SKU: WSDH1

I bought these (two sets)one for each side mounted as illustrated in the ad. on back hand grips, 18 months ago. I shopped around and found two tall steel insulated drink containers that fit perfectly- I've used a clip and small elastic cords to secure container from the top on each side. Never any issue and they are absolutely not in the way for a passenger to come and go when in place on both sides. I don't carry the containers for short trips but they have never moved out of place or spilled on long trips. You would expect that they would be a problem for the passenger but they don't get in the way at all. I leave the holders permanently clamped and have never had to adjust.

Motorcycle Tire Ceramic Balancing Beads
ITEM CODE: PG27738

06.21.2013
This is not so much a review of the product but hopefully, useful information-- Some reviewers indicated that it's impossible to load these through the valve stem and most say no problem- as it turns out THEY ARE BOTH CORRECT. I had to opportunity to try and put these into a new tire/wheel (2008 stem) through the older style of valve stem while the wheel and tire were on the bench with complete control. There was nothing I could do to make them enter that way and trust me I tried everything- My brother has a new wing with the new aluminum block type valve stem. We easily put the beads in that while still on the bike no problem at all. I have yet to understand why that's true. I even tried to use only 1 bead drop it into the open stem shake and turn the tire to insure that it would enter- not even the single bead would enter the stem?? It makes me think there is some kind of filter screen behind the bend in the stem- yet I was able to push a small light wire tie all the way through stem?? Maybe this brings some understand to the contrast in reports on the use of this product??

I had held off on this modification being concerned about the extra cable lengths necessary to add these. Brother had put these on a 2012- no problem very simple install no issue with cable lengths. With that we installed the tall rider version (no change in the span of the bars) on my 2008. Again very simple to do. You will have to remove the 4 bolts that hold the GPS unit in place but it doesn't have to be unpluged- you can just lift it our of the way for the install. The change is not an issue for any of the cables just have to work with it a little to get the extra inch needed to align the plate bolt holes. I have long arms so the standard reach wasn't a problem for me but this is still a major improvement on longer trips.. Nothing negative about this change and very easy to do. risers are marked for left and right so it's pretty much a no brainer install if you can do anything mechanical yourself.

Bridgestone Tire COMBO for GL1800 G704/G709
ITEM CODE: WSBRCOMBO,   SKU: WSBRCOMBO

04.15.2013
I run a 2008 with E-3's. My brother runs a 2012 with the Bridgestones shown here. We were comparing wear yesterday, brother has 8,000 miles on his bike, (mostly without a passenger) He needs a new rear tire now-- center three inces is flat and slick. His front tire shows little wear. My E-3's have 13,000 on them now, mostly two up riding, and I'm certain to make it to 18,000. My rear tire won't be in nearly as bad condition(maybe inch center flat) as the stones are already with only 8K. We both do good tire maintenance and ride about the same way and on the same trips. I will definitely be replacing by dunlops with dunlops. Yes, they make a little noise, but that's the only negative and it's not significant enought for me to give up that kind of mileage.

Perfect for the GL back seat grab handles. I attached two as illustrated- one one each side- does not interfere with getting on and off the back seat. Will secure a wide variety of hard cups/mugs.

It took me about an hour to do this install. The back rest and hardware are excellent quality- materials texture, color and design look identical to the seat material on my 08. The pouch on the back is thick material and attaches securely. The bottom of the pad has a full length zipper so that you could replace the padding with anything desired if necessary. I'm happy with the way it feels. Folds in such a way as to give plenty of clearance for passenger on/off.
