I bought these from WingStuff and had them installed at Venco Wings. my '08 wing was smooth before the installation and the ride was even better after. an interesting note here. I called and spoke to Centramatic before ordering and was advised to run 41 to 42 pounds of air in the front and 42 in the rear - which I now do, +/- a half a pound. at first I was bothered by the construction, but since these are warranted, I chose to ignore that for now and give them a try. would I install them again? I ordered the balancers and will soon be putting them on my 1800. The finish is a bit rough, but not horrific. The rear balancer will be hidden. No big deal. The front balancers will barely be visable (I have chrome brake rotor covers). Again, no big deal if they perform as advertised. I am not sure testing them while the bike is on it's center stand is prudent or altogether wise/safe. As for testing in this manner, the rear wheel assembly would basically be floating with only the swing arm supporting the wheel configuration. This doesn't/wouldn't seem to compare to how the wheel and it's assembly would react when on the ground supporting the weight of the bike as it's being driven down the road. Hmmm . . . Certainly, using a car tire for a rear wheel solution is not safe (there has been a lot written and there is a lot of published evidence that would speak against this practice). In fact, my 1800 mechanic told me about an accident that killed the driver and his wife where a car tired was used for the rear. The driver apparently lost control around a corner, which is what is typically written about when someone elects to use a car tire and when an accident occurs . . . In my humble opinion, the extra miles offered, etc., by using a car tire is not worth the risk. Anyway, I am expecting a great experience with these balancers based on all of the feedback. Except for how they look, all of the feedback reading many different boards tells me that they are the cat's meow - I'll let you know! |

Having received these units, as others have said, very poor finish. Mine look like they were sand blasted and painted to a very rough finish, like sand paper to the touch. I had thought from the video that these things have a Moly oil in the ring? Why do mine sound dry when moving the bike by hand? I have only fitted the rear so far as it cannot be seen. Started the bike on the main stand and let it run in 5th gear up to 80 kph indicated speed. My trunk lid was unlatched and was bouncing up and down. I do run a car tire on the rear but so far am not convinced about these things. I am unlikely to fit the front units due to there ugly appearance and poor finish. Trev. |

Installed two week ago. Did not get them from WingsnStuff as it was taking too long with the back ordering system they have so got them from another vendor. Two days later went on a drive to Belgium, what a difference. Its not a subtle difference its noticeable immediately. It’s like driving on tracks. The tires I had on were slightly cupped despite having only small mileage but as the miles piled on the cupping slowly disappeared. The handling is superb with no vibration through the handlebars, its laser straight. Like all comments I too was amazed how badly these balance rs are made. They claim they are making them for over forty years, if so somebody needs to be made unemployed soon. How in Gods name did America get to the moon, very obviously they didn’t need balance rs? But that aside for the sheer improvement in handling buy them now!! |

Had these installed today at Wing Stuff, Lake Forest. Made an advance appmt. and they were ready to begin right on time, and did a nice job ($75.00). Rode about 75 miles on both fwy and twisties. Bike seemed more "smooth" on both type roads, particularly I liked the improvement in the turns. Very sure and smooth. No vibrations in the hand grips on the fwy.. Expensive, like $309.00 total but hey, smooth is always expensive! |

These thing realy work. Smooth as glass even at 100 mph. Only took about an hour to put on all 3. Paint looked bad so I painted them silver and you don't hardley notice them. How ever I still have my 40 mph deacceleration wobble. The tire had already started cupping at 3000 miles. I wish had these on when the tire was new. I'm very satisfide with them and think there every penny! |

The first thing I have to say is "Watch your speedometer after having the Centramatic wheel balancers installed folks." My 'sense of touch' was knocked out of whack from the smooth ride. When I thought I was doing 70 MPH on the freeway, I was actually moving along at 90, that's when my sense of sight took over, realizing I was going faster then everyone else, that's when I looked down at the speedometer. After I set my cruise control, about twenty minutes later I looked down at my hands on the grips and realized I had a totally relaxed hold on the handlebars with my fingers just resting on the grips. As for the twisties, the tracking is "smooth as silk." I have read hundreds of reviews from various Goldwing Forums and nothing negative was said about the handling characteristics of the Centramatic balancers. A few have said they're ugly, but once they're installed, you have to know what you're looking for. They don't call attention to themselves and that's just fine with me. Wingstuff has the best price on the Centramtic's and use their service department, they're extremely friendly and professional. Once again Wingstuff and Centramatic's has my five stars. Anyone who has further questions, go to https://wingridersboard.com/forum/ and my user name is ekurtike. Send me a PM. Kurt |

I had these installed at Wingstuff and have to say I was surprised how well they worked.. I was dealing with a noticeable "buzz" in the grips at higher speeds and thought it was just a GL 1800 trait. I still have the stock tires with 4600 miles on them and the rear is cupping already, the front is still ok. Upon leaving I didn't notice much, but once I jumped on the freeway it was really smooth and the "buzz" was gone. Even my passenger noticed it was smoother. They're not much to look at but they work as advertized! |

Despite all the rave reviews regarding the centramatic balancers, i still had my reservations. However after installing them, i cannot stress how smooth they make the bike feel. There is not even a hint of vibration on the bars - even at above legal speeds. I took the original weights off my wheels, so the centramatics seem to be doing their job perfectly. I will update my review once i have covered 10 or 15,000 kms. |

Had these installed at Wingstuff while getting a new front tire. Very smooth at highway speeds all the way to triple digits. Hope the tire wear will be improved. So far happy with the product. |

I am very satified with the results. I looked for the instructions for you to take off the old weights, I didn't see it any where, but I took the weights of each of the wheels. It is a smooth ride at any speed. I looking forward to see if it will make the tires last longer as claimed. I have recommended them to some of my trike and goldwing friends. |
