Well, gave a review 5 months ago about the poor workmanship on the product. Paint flaking off and peeling on all 3 units. Was contacted by the company that they had a bad batch get pass them and they would replace the ones I had. I thought that this was going to be great relationship with this company. 5 months later no word or replacement. Getting ready to go on a trip so had to spend $150.00 for the dealer to put them on, flaking paint and all. Hope they work better than they look. Will give another review after a thousand miles or so, if they don't rust off first. :-)..... |

I had a set installed on 2/13 by Wingstuff, along with a set of E3's. There was no minimum speed to achieve before they started working, it was instantanous. On the 40+ mile trip home I had the opportunity to venture into the upper speed area and found that even there it was smooth as silk. I will update this in 5 to 6 months to let folks know how they are doing. |

Got the Balancers and have them install at the dealer; The comments about smooth ride 100% truth. I've benn using them for 2,000 miles and I hope that the increase of tire life will be also as good as the way my Goldwing handles at high speeds. |

Had them installed yesterday...notable smoothness at 40+ mph. Anxious to see other benefits. The jury is still out! |

I had these installed by WingStuff and what a difference! The ride is much smoother and the vibration (although slight) that I felt through the right handlebar has all but disappeared. My front tire was (prior to the install) showing some uneven wear, but the more I ride, the more that seems to be correcting itself. I spoke to Geoff, the Centramatic rep, prior to the installation and was told these can help correct wear issues. The man knows his business. After putting about 800 miles on the bike Charlie (in service at WingStuff) even noticed the tire looks like it's correcting. As ekurtike mentioned, watch your speed. After leaving WingStuff and getting on the freeway I was frustrated that traffic was moving so slowly. I looked down and saw I was doing 85. Now that's smooth. I know of one person who put on new tires and the Centramatics and now has 13k on the tires. Yup. The rear too. Tires are still in good shape. If you're on the fence, jump off and get a set. Expensive? A bit. But these are without doubt one of the best investments I've made. Or, you can go over to the GWRRA tech board, ask the question, and listen to all the old codgers, who have never used them, tell you they don't work and how they've been riding since 19 diggity three and only use rocks and spit to balance they're tires. I'll take the Centramatics. |

Just had these installed with my last service. Along with new tires, these really make the ride much smoother. Wonderful product. Hope to get more mileage out of these tires as advertised. Thanks WingStuff for the great service job. |

Installed the Centramatic Wheel Balancers with a new set of Avon Cobra tires on my 2008 Wing. WOW what a great ride. Perfect balance at all speeds. No hands free wobble and takes turns like on a rail. WING MAN for 29 years. |

I have been running the Centramatic Balancers since mid July - I purchased mine at Wing Ding. I did the install myself on my 06' GL1800 with ABS. I'm here to tell you my bike has never been so smooth. Prior to installation I had some cupping on the front tire (was running E3's) and after a week with the balancers the cupping was completely gone. At that time I had 18K miles on my tires and I rode them for another 4K miles before replacing the tires. I had my mechanic (independent shop)ride the bike with the balancers and he immediately called and became a dealer. That's how impressed he was with the balancers. These are the single best investment I have made for my Wing. As the old TV commercial said - Try it you'll like it. As for the low rating given by Trev, well maybe he needs to first get rid of the car tire he is riding. Not only are car tires not designed for motorcycles, but they are dangerous in corners - do a search on UTUBE for Goldwing with car tire and watch the road level video - sobering to say the least! Keep the rubber side down Smitty |

A rotating mass in balance should not vibrate as graphically shown in their own video. A Wing in neutral at 2500 rpm on the main stand does not vibrate. These things are not mounted on the Wing as per their video demo. (the ring is mounted on the outer edge of the rim on a small wheel in the video, (it is inside the disc diameter on a Wing). Why not set up a Wing rear wheel with the single centramatic for the demo. My basic test has shown the rear wheel did not balance. It may be that the front wheel when fitted with two balancers will work. Trev. |

10 stars not on drop down.... I have never felt a better smoother ride. Well worth it and the first 7,000 miles of new tires looked more like only half that. 700-1,000 mile day ride seem easier and less tiring. As for the only low rating above.... I am glad it was mentioned that a car tire was used with the balance ring. A car tire will require more weight than what is inside intended for a GL1800 rated rear tire. There is a reason that the competitor has tire size charts for the correct weight usage. You will notice an improvement on the front (with "trike" kit). |

I bought these from WingStuff and had them installed at Venco Wings. my '08 wing was smooth before the installation and the ride was even better after. an interesting note here. I called and spoke to Centramatic before ordering and was advised to run 41 to 42 pounds of air in the front and 42 in the rear - which I now do, +/- a half a pound. at first I was bothered by the construction, but since these are warranted, I chose to ignore that for now and give them a try. would I install them again? YUP! |
