This is my second set. Had them on my 2012 Goldwing and could not wait to put them on my 2019.They eliminate the skinny grips and allow my hands to be more relaxed. Follow the instructions and use wide zip ties and work the rubber grips as you go. Highly recommend.
Installed Helibars in my 2021 Goldwing. Instructions are detailed and easy to understand. This is a quality American made product.
Very comfortable supports your back. I gave it four stars because the bolts would not go through some of the holes had to grind the holes out , other than that it’s very well-made.
Got these risers installed in about 90 minutes, could probably do it in half that time now. Comes with detailed instructions with (color!) photos you can actually see, but still good idea to watch the Youtube videos of the install. They show a slightly older version of the product but the process is the same. Probably the trickiest part is cutting the plastic trim cover, the template is good, but precisely/smoothly cutting the plastic can be a little fussy. A dremel with a milling bit worked fairly well. I have a 6spd manual, and the directions/video all show the install on a DCT. Main difference obviously being the clutch hydraulic line is absent, the directions really don't mention it. I found on the LH handlebar, if you try to keep the clutch line in front/on top of the riser block with the wiring (directions say to keep wiring in front), the clutch hose is VERY tight. You can get the bolts in, but it really doesn't feel great. I kept the wiring in front, but rerouted the clutch line behind the riser block, which then has plenty of slack. I also adjusted the loom clamp for the LH bar slightly (directions recommend adjusting the RH loom clamp, but not the LH). As such I didn't cut out the other "notch" in the plastic cover for the clutch line, as no longer needed. The line doesn't rub or interfere with anything being routed behind the block, and I'd recommend doing this for 6spd installs. The directions mentioned "due to manufacturing variance" you may end up with bars that hit the center button console, and there's some tips to gain a little clearance, however I didn't find any of them necessary on my 2020 non-Tour, nothing hits the console. At full lock it's close (maybe 1/4"- so you really couldn't have any taller riser without substantial modifications), but no interference. The rise/kickback is perfect. Just enough extra so I sit upright without the slight forward lean as delivered. Another quality product from Helibars.
Since I live in Florida I drove to Punta Gorda and met the owner and his crew. What a great team. They live visitors and made my visit an outstanding experience. Selected the 20 “ Clear Recurved F4 Custom. The owner installed the shield and provided care instructions and fitment. Settled up payment with a bottle of cleaner as a gift and hit the Road. 300 miles later touring the Florida west coast I was even more pleased. The height low and high was perfect for me at 6’ allowing a few inches see through at the top elevation and plenary of fresh are at the bottom. The added 4 “ width now improves my bubble. The recurve works great. Family owned American made surface gardened product. Do give them consideration. Service and product satisfaction is refreshing these days. 👍 Happy Camper.
Windshield was very easy to install. Packaged well and arrived in great shape. Windshield is tinted just right and everything I wanted.
WingStuff is great... I love the tires also. I like Bridgestone over the Dunlaps I has never used shinko metzeler or avon. This BRIDGESTONE combo has gotten me an average of about 12K I mostly ride 1 up but I take trips and have cargo.
This kit is a perfect color match for my 2020 Goldwing DCT Base Matte Black Metallic bike. It looks like it originally came on the bike. It is a perfect match
The installation kit was a perfect fit. No modification to the bike was required. Once installed the kit was a perfect fit and allowed the Truck to be installed easily. If you are installing the OME trunk to the base DCT, this is the exact kit needed.
I got the 20" F4 Clear windshield with the re-curve. It was an extremely simple installation. Much better than stock for me. Stock required me to raise the windshield to the maximum height and look through the windshield to have a quiet air pocket. I am used to looking over the windshield while riding and the F4 allowed me to do that. No manufacturing issue that I saw and the windshield is very clear optically as well as easy to clean. Definitely a step up from stock.
Bought these to put on my ‘03 GL1800 I bought the end of last summer. I had experience with mice getting into the airbox on my old bike. The installation instructions tell you how to install them by going through the side pockets, which works, based on feedback from a fellow rider. Turns out my air filter was already compromised, which would probably not have been the case had I been a little quicker. Everyone should screen their air boxes!
Works and Fits in my 17 audio comfort; oddity though, wingstuff sent more screws with the shipment. I don't know why.
