Great looks, well built, & very adjustable. I looked at and tried out a lot of highway pegs and running boards before deciding on these for my '06 Wing. |
OK, I'm with some of the others as far as the wiring is concerned. I always like the easy way. That being said I am not afraid of wiring. This was easy to install on my 2006 Wing once I looked at everything. I only needed to remove the rear tire cover (where the license plate mounts) and accessed the wiring from there. Helps if you have the service manual. Look for the green wire with a very thin red stripe on both sides. You will have to add some wire. I located the unit on the left side and extended the right side wires to reach. LOVE the effect in mode 1. Definetly a good buy on this item if you can work on bikes. |
IT WAS SIMPLE AND EASY TO INSTALL BRACKETS. A LITTIE BIT OF A PAIN TO INSTALL AND REMOVE. YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL NOT TO SCRATCH BIKE. THE WAY IT PIVOTS FORWARDS HELPS PASSENGER GET ON AND OFF BIKE. I HAVE HAD BACK SURGERY AND WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER BIKE WITHOUT ONE. THE QUALITY IS TOP NOTCH |
The bag is made of good material. The lining is not overly stuffed, so the helmet fits easily. The zipper has double tubs so it is easy to open and close. Nice bag for the price. |
Well looks like I will be the 1st of what I am sure will be many product reviews for this item. Let me start by saying I was pleasantly surprised when I received the Scuff Plate set to find that they were not made of ABS plastic with a chrome like finish. These are actually chrome metal. The written instructions are good enough, but if you pre-place them against the side bags, the contour of the plate will easily tell you where they belong. You need to make sure you have the correct set for each side. However, as I said, the cut and contour of the plate easily ID themselves. The plates adhere to the bags by adhesive strips and seem strong. The whole job took less than 20 minutes for me, but I am finicky about placement and look. One thing I wish the package did bring was alcohol pads to clean the area before final placement, but I had some extra ones lying around. They look great and if you have the chrome scuff covers attached as well, they really look good. What can I say Chrome is good! |
I may not have used this the way it was intended but it suits my needs. I installed it in the left hand dash compartment along with the AUX input. I plan to use it to power a cell phone charger, MP3 charger, etc. Covered it with heat shrink tubing to insulate it and make it look a little nicer. There is a connector for it right below the compartment in the same harness as the AUX connector. |

Great fit, looks terrific, better then the plastic covers offered by other manufacturers. Honda should bring the price down a bit even though it is made of metal and not plastic. |
Just put the hwy pegs on last night for a bike ride today (5/20). Directions not as easy to follow as other add-ons, just take a second you’ll figure it out. Many different position for pilot comfort weather you’re height challenged or not. Rode just about 300 miles and am wondering how I made other bike rides without these pegs. Highly recommended. |
