I bought these a few weeks ago with a bit of skepticism... I was suprisingly wrong... These are the greatest... You don't have alot of positions to put them in because of the wide fairing on the Goldwing but they allow you to stretch your legs on long rides (the reason I tried them to begin with) I would buy these again.
Can't beat the price and eliminates the problem of small items rolling around the trunk or saddle bags. Also improves the attractiveness of the luggage compartments.
Looks GREAT on my 2008 Titanium Gold Wing. I had the dealer install it as part of the original delivery of the bike.
I had the dealer install them on my 2008 Gold Wing as part of its original delivery. They look great and will help protect the fog lights.
Ha, ha, ha. Please disregard my comment about the extra, undescribed part in my previous post. I just figured out that my fat tongue depresser is the Pin Drive Wrench. A picture of it and its use would be a nice addition to the Kuryakyn supplied installation instructions.
This is an EXCELLENT backrest! I had no problem installing it. For the faint of heart (like me) regarding cutting the saddle, I recommend viewing the installation video located on the Utopia Products website (https://www.utpr.com/available.html). The video shows you how easy the backrest is to install, including the "cutting the saddle" part.

Like many others I found installation trouble free. I was unable to determine what one part included in the kit was for though. It looks like a bent fat tongue depresser with two small protrusions at the bent end. The instruction sheet included with the kit did not describe or cite it use. I suspect it was accidently included in the kit...unless it is the "Pin Drive Wrench". I really like the look of the floor boards and since I have a size 9 foot there is plenty of room on them for me. It is definitely worth the price (which I noticed is actually cheaper today than it was earlier this week).
One of the most out of alignment things I ever put on my bike. Nothing lined up the way the instructions said they would. Never did figure them out. Dont know if it is because of my bike is an 2008 or what. Kuryakyn didn't do themselves any favors in my book this time.
Wife loves it as the passenger
Great black power coat finish, good workmanship, and very horrible engineering! The swivel mount is useless, dumping anything more than a half-full water bottle. I replace the swivel mount with a 3/8 carriage bolt and a ½ steel spacer making it into a solid mount. This requires widening the notch in the cup holder but no big deal. I now love this cup holder! A tall coffee cup is no longer a problem.
Super easy to install. And WOW they really do give the area a nice kick.
