Installed myself in about 2 hours...great quality...would have liked better instructions but after looking at everything figured it out pretty easy. Feels great on long ride, keeps my lower back against the back rest. No more lower back stress...easy to adjust...keep your allen wrenches handy.
I think this is the best bag of the bunch. I got two, but one was defective so I've asked wingstuff.com for a return auth. One of the straps and buckles sewn into the seam came out (bummer) but now I have a back up. I think the seamstress was just having a bad day because otherwise the bag is great. Just be careful not to overpack it too heavy...it can hold everything plus the kitchen sink.
These high-tech circular washers are made up of the finest soft-metal allow for premium crushability and meet Honda's high standards for excellence. What in the heck are you reading this prattle? They're washers for goodness' sake. Just order them and if you're not doing your own oil changes....SHAME! (oh, perhaps your rich and can pay me to do them for you?)
Great protection and the smoked ones look smokin' on my black 'Wing. I'm glad I had them on my recent Western States Ride. However, carry your wrenches with you because at 90 mph they tend to get loose after a day or so. Maybe I should just slow down?
It took me about an hour to install (okay, so I had some problem getting it to slide over the factory bolts) but installation went fine. There is a YouTube video that shows how to do it, but they didn't take the white protective laminate off. Doh! I've had the front piece off to change the oil and it's easy off/on. Yup, I'd purchase this again.
In response to the look and finish of the product when I recieved it. To be honest I had the same experience. paint was falling off and I too , thought they could have done a better job with the paint. But I am using this as a excuse to get some rotor covers (they are barely visible on the bike) worth it though just for the ride alone.
Ken is correct. If you have previously installed the Kuryakyn arm rests, the shoulder screws provided by Add On will not work. They are too short. Also, the instruction indicate the holes that originally were drilled for the arm rests need to be enlarged to 3/8". Not true. The holes can be used without enlarging them. Also, when the chrome side piece of the armrest is removed, remove the existing screw studs from the piece and the antenna will fit as it should. ADD ON doesn't employ qualified personnel to write accurate installation instructions for their products. Always take your time when adding any of their products to your machine.
As I already stated on the "right side" feedback, they do add a really nice look, but even with "Prefit and Dry-Run" fitment process, to make sure they are "contoured" properly, there was not enough adhesive to give the kind of fit and final appearance that I expect from after-market add-on's. That's where super-glue comes in handy, so they are on for good,....that's for sure !! Both sides look great !
As with other chrome accessories I have added so far, this is a really nice addition for not lots of money. The reason for only four stars is that even with "preforming" and "Dry Fit" measures taken prior to final install, there was definitely not enough adhesive for my taste so I broke out the trusty super-glue, so you can bet they are on permanately. Thats OK though, because they look great installed.
The smooth chrome covers are very nice and polished and really look good, the screws that come with the covers however leave a lot to be desired. They do not fit the holes like the original cover I took off, it needs a bigger screw head.
just added these look great used the loc tight and hope i dont have any problems with them staying on nice touch to the handle bar area.
nice pin added one to different jackets and vest
