I initially installed this net as shown in the picture which is at the back of your trunk (lock location) but found it served me better at the front (passenger back rest area) instead. I use this net for maps, wipes, log book you name it and I have it in there. Locating it in the front works best because what every you put in there will not be damaged due to the constant access to you trunk. Also, my helmet seems to fit better with the net in this location. I recommend buying this for more storage and it's less then ten dollars.
The fit and finish on the Kuryakyn highway pegs are really good and look good on the bike as well. I am 6 foot tall and do enjoy the pegs but there is a problem hitting the side faring which have irritated the inside of my legs. I do plan on adjusting to eliminate this problem. Over all I am pleased and the highway pegs make a long ride much more pleasureful.
I really really like this back rest especially after wasting my money on the Kuryakyn. No problems adjusting and the wife like it too especially since there are no obstruction hitting her legs, (I mentioned the poorly designed Kuryakyn right?) One negative is the mounting hardware that sits on top of the seat can be hazardous to your passengers lower extremities. Maybe Utopia can make a safety pad like a bmx bicycle stem cover. I hope this helps, I strongly recommend it.
This really works for those hot days just so long as your rides are short. It gets really uncomfortable after an hour in the saddle due to the pressure of your body weight pressing into the beads. Maybe my rear lacks an adequate amount of cushion? :)
Installed these tires and drove cross country and back. 7200 miles. Just about made it home the vibrations were horrible. 41 PSI...The tires are badly cupped and I had them replaced with Elite 3's. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE TIRES!!!
here goes... got for use with 99 venture with shortee helmet. I gave them a 6 day 1450 mile test here is what I found. First for the price I recommend, the wind problem in mic was solved by installing mic on/off switch from air rider plugged right in-line. Next problem was headband murdered the ears after a couple hours especially with sunglasses, went to the optional goggles strap that helped but by day 3 ears really hurting. Finally tied to helmet staps to take pressure off and that worked really well. All and all we loved using them for our first headset ever. The price was right even with the on/off. and for long trips tie to helmet, really like the fact that we can use without helmet since we live in Ohio
Nice look, works good at low speed, added to 2006+ Newer GL1800 owners with Heated Grips.
Just got them today, but can tell you that they were easy to install and and went for a short ride and could tell that they are going to make a big difference. I only hope the crome holds out.
I wish I could give it more stars. An absolute for any maintenance!!
this is the stuff..these things work great and stay tight
