With 22K miles on the ODO my Wing's handling and ride had deteriorated so much I was thinking of parting ways...just kidding. Can't give up the amenities. So the only solution was to break out the AMEX and drop some cabbage on progressive front and rear springs, fork rebuild kit, all balls, Kuryakan gen II fork brace and new Conti Motion tires. All i can say is WOW! The bikes attitude has changed. It holds it's head up higher no matter how hard I push it into a turn. This new attitude allows faster turns with unbelievable confidence....dare i say BMW like. And the ride is now perfect; supple and controlled...all harshness is gone while continuing to give just the right amount of feedback in the bars. Love it.
With 22k miles on the ODO i figured it was time to attend to this beast so i can return to the Tail of the Dragon and do it justice. Before I changed the bearings I raised the from wheel and was able to move it 1/8 inch front to back...all due to worn bearings. After changing the bearings snugging with 27 ft-lbs torque all the slop is gone. Steering is firm and precise now. Thanks all balls.
Looks great! Accents the fuel door. Unfortunately, you get nasty reflections on sunny days. Can be quite bothersome.
Good addition to the bike. Looks great. Mounted it on the front brake side to balance out the radio controls. Easy to install. You get to know your fairing pieces intimately!!!
I installed this 2 years ago after my wife followed me on my GW in her car. She was concerned about lack of visibility of the turn signals & brakes. Installation was easy and the results were great. dont know why Honda didn't do this from the factory.
Just installed the Cruise Pegs and the SO loves them. They look good and are really easy to install. If your SO has problems with her legs and is looking for another position to put them, then this is the one you need.
Installed the Offsets this morning. Everthing went together pretty easy. The one problem I have with them is there are no holes for the 2 pegs that keep the foot rest from rotating. My ERGO II Cruise Mounts have the pins and holes but not the Offsets, in my opinion, if you push down to hard on the foot rest they are going to move.

I agree with Oge - you have to slightly bend it to meet the contour of the panel before you put it on! A definite need to finish off the meter and switch panel if you purchase that. |
Looks great! I had the straight type with the three outlet holes. Easy to install, but as Brad said below, older models (mine is a 2002) the bolts could break. Take your time removing the bolts and then replace them with stainless steel type bolts. Other than removing old bolts, installation was about 15 minutes.
I ride about 14,000 miles per year and got over 14,000 miles on the Dunlop Elite III. Switched to the Cobras last year. Man are they quiet! But, at 10,500 miles they have started to cup - badly. Switching back to Dunlops. Still would highly recommend Cobras to lower mileage riders - you can't believe how quiet these are and they hold the road very nicely.
Kyryakyn should get 5 stars for these foot pegs. However, they need one black eye for assuming all customers have a complete set of oem's from which to salvage old parts to complete their shiny but expensive foot rests. My old balls & springs needed for installation must be worn because one side flops more loosely than the other. I wonder if they sell new balls and springs seperately? If they do, they deserve another black eye! Maybe I'll check the salvage yard for the finishing parts.

Took less than a minute to install. Have the chrome piece over the radio controls. Makes it complete. I ordered another set, and am getting ready to order another set of the knobs. I made a set of little chrome knobbed key inserts for the gas door and locking box on the right side of the dash. Leave them in all the time. Just adds to the chrome look of the cockpit. Gonna make a set for another Wing. If I want to remove them to keep them from being stolen, all I have to do is pull them out and lock them in the box. Just a little addition I made. Easy to do. Just have to have additonal keys made. |
