WARNING!
I did not purchase this specific one but bought one years ago. As most have stated, don't buy any fender extension. It WILL break your fender. The original fender is the problem. The original fender is not made to withstand the push and sway of wind hitting on the extension. And even with the extension, I still had rood grime stick to my lower cowl. |

TheGood and the Bad (see also review of Tridiaum Fog Lights)
If you read my review about the Tridium Fog Lights you'll understand my disappointment with this product. The Good: it looks nice. The Bad: TERRIBLE FIT for my 2002 Gold Wing. With the help of a friend we spent almost 4 HOURS! trying to get this cowl into place. Most all of the holes did not line up and the fit against the bike seemed like the curvature was wrong. We started fastening the new cowl at the bottom two sides, then the two pin rivets in the top center and then the two corner bolts and then the short bolts at the center which we had to push in against the bike as the cowl was now almost 1/2" too far away from the bike attachment for the short bolts that needed to be used. After the 5th attempt of trying to get this to a point where we could finally get most all fasteners to catch, it distorted the black upper cowl (above the timing cover) to the point that we could not get the 2 lower side pin rivets in- they are 1/4" out of alignment. After working on this and the fog lights for 5 hours total time, we managed to get the bike back together. I took the bike for a ride and now the one radiator fan rubs something and the black upper cowl cover has two stress cracks in it. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT if you have a 2001 - 2005 Gold Wing! I can't imagine what I face now in repairs for the radiator fan fix and/or switching back to round fog lights and the old style lower cowl. I did not want to even give this product one star but I had to choice. |

The Good and the Bad of it
I won these from Wing Stuff back in 2017 in a contest for most reviews. Now that I retired, I finally had time to put them on the bike. Here's the Good: I have a 2002 Gold Wing and the installation of just the lights themselves was a breeze! Here's the Bad: I have a 2002 Gold Wing. The lights fit fine and if you look at any YouTube video, they all show easy install of the lights. What is interesting is that NO ONE shows what is involved in wiring these lights. If you want just the fog lights as just a fog light replacement for existing or new - piece of cake, but for 2001 to 2005, F6B and Valkyrie you have to try and fish the supplied wire harness up to the mirrors to get the turn signal and day-time running light features. What a chore! I had to remove the center panel, the lower front cowl piece (of course) the inner, upper cowl and the two inside side pieces by the forks, the windshield cover, windshield, and the outer shell of the dash board to fish the wires up through. THEN, you have to cut the connector ends off - throw them away and splice the wires into the mirror wiring harness - all without any directions. So, I had to call Show Chrome for directions on which wires to splice together in the mirror. The directions I was given was wrong. So, re-wire. (Please note that when I read the instructions from the fog light carton, it said I had to order a part #52-765, which I did, which is no longer available, but found a supplier in RI, ordered them, paid $40, and then found out in talking with Show Chrome, I spent $40 for something I cannot use - I have to splice. THEN, I had to purchase the lower cowl with the rectangular fog cut-outs. Go read my review for part number BB52908! NOT GOOD! 2 stars for the fog lights only - once I got them hooked up - work and look great! No other stars due to wiring problems and efforts. I highly do not recommend this product for 2001 to 2005 Gold Wings - not sure what it takes for install on an F6B or Valkyrie |

Little hard to put on as the top left nub was a tiny bit larger than the hole. It broke off trying to get it in to latch. However, the piece is tight and secure. I now realize that I may have added a piece of bling that may end up being scratched from the keys. Well, at least it will look like a nice scratched piece of bling. LOL |

Volt meter with switch combo
Bought this device years ago now (maybe 2011?) and on 2 of three switches, the lights are burnt out, one of the switches is touchy to turn on and off. Since it is now 2022 - I'd say it's time to replace it. Not bad after 11 years and 135,000 miles. |

F4+2 - again
Had purchased an F4+2 years ago and after 4 years the coating cracked, peeled and fell off. Went back to OEM windshield - big mistake. Now back with the F4 +2 again and I forgot how much I loved it. The clarity! I did see they changed their warranty and you can at least get some cost relief if it fails. Anyway, after a 10 hour ride this past week with the heat - I probably should have gotten it with the vent. |

7-/12 year review
Mine lasted about 6 years. Good value. I think the only reason it did not last longer is that I ride all winter long (eastern PA) and it was subjected to some pretty cold and windy days that took a toll on it. |

6 year update
Bought a while back and at the end of 4 years the coating started to flake off and went totally bad in less than a month. So I ended going back to an OEM windshield. I now totally regret that move. I miss the F4 +4! The clarity of the F4 versus the OEM windshield is far, far superior. As soon as I can afford to do it, I'm going back to an F4+2. Just wish they weren't so expensive for as long as they last. |

5 year update
Other than a little wear from taking tight curves and doing tight turns on the parking lot, I have had no problems. The rubber is wearing just fine also. I'll probably have to replace them if I keep on scraping them up on those tight curves. Good value for the money! |
