Quick Release Drink Holder for GL1800, GL1500
ITEM CODE: WSDH1,   SKU: WSDH1

10.28.2011
Great produce at a great price. I was unable to put a drink holder on the handle bar because I have the airbag and it would get in the way. I bought this item for a long trip I just took and it worked great does not get in the way of the storage doors or the passenger with a drink in it and I added a piece of thin rubber cut to fit under clamp so not to leave marks on hand rail. It fits a 16 oz water bottle or can with a this insulator. Fits tight easy install.

Factory OEM LED Lighted Trunk Spoiler for GL1800 1st Gen
ITEM CODE: PG00029

10.28.2011
Spoiler adds a great look and I replaced light with Item #: AO451842V Running/Brake/Turn Signal all in one light and installed with American Motorcycle Accessories GL1800 Chrome Billet Luggage Rack Item # SBAMA2003. Installation was easy I cut the template out with a razor blade for a clean cut. The trunk was designed for a spoiler if you look carefully at the underside of the trunk lid where the template shows to drill the holes you will see molded into the lid 3 circles with a raised point in the middle on the left side and 2 on the right also note the final drill size recommended was too big I use the size that matched the screws size for a tighter better fit.

Centramatic Stainless Wheel Balancers for GL1800
ITEM CODE: CTMGW100-102,   SKU: CTMGW100-102

10.28.2011
Well I've owned my 2010 GL1800 for 13 or so months now and I've put on 12,800 miles weekends only and wore out the stock Dunlop tires whereby I have put two new Dunlop Elite III on the day before yesterday. When I had the tire put onto the rims at the dealership I asked them to NOT balance either the front or the rears. I then took it out on its first run hoping these Centramatics worked as I was told they would. They work absolutely perfectly and the bike is as smooth as it can get. These are well worth the price and I now know as I begin to wear these tires in and rubber is removed from varous areas of the front and back tire my tires will always be perfectly in balance making for a smooth ride until the next pair go on about a years from now. I would suggest this product to all Goldwings and if they work for the other bikes as well as they did for me I'd adbise them to buy them now. I only wish I has a set to try on my 2012 Honda Civic EX commute vehicle. Wink Wink !!

All Balls Steering Bearings for GL1800 & F6B
ITEM CODE: TR416233,   SKU: TR416233

10.28.2011
The infamous decel wobble started at about 10k on my '08 GL. Changed the tires (E-3's) and it got worse. At about 20k, I installed All Balls and Progressive springs in the front. Even with the then worn and cupped cuppped E-3's, the wobble was no more! I don't know if it was the All Balls or the Progressive springs that stopped the wobble, but I can say that the combo works. Now have 45k miles on big girl, and she still doesn't wobble.

ITEM: KU4453

These look and feel great, but the set-screw in them is deisgned to keep the Clevis to be perpendicular to the plane of the board... which is fine if you mount them as highwayboards, but as you can see from the photo, the clevis is at a 30-40 degree angle.

Only 4 Stars because of the poor engineering of the set screw. When mounted as pegs, these boards tend to loosen unless you REALLY overtighten the bolt holding the board to the clevis.

I'm happy with them, though, and have gone through a couple of sets, since I tend to scrape my pegs a lot and wear them out.

I added a Kuryakyn heel-toe shifter to my GL1800 after I broke my ankle, using the stock pegs on top of it, but wanted to go to floorboards later. I discovered, to my dismay, that floorboards could not go on top of the Heel-toe shifter, unless you bought the model that included floorboards.

So, I purchased these ErgoII Iso-Wing pegs and mounted them in place of my stock pegs and it worked great. However, there is a set screw with an indent that is designed to keep the pegs perpendicular to the arm when using them as highwayboards, but I need to have the pegs at an angle when using them in place of my stock pegs. Only 4 stars for the stupid design of the set screw. My solution is to overtighten the main bolt connecting these pegs to the swivel adapter, and then tighten the small set screw just so it doesn't get lost.

Universal Power Plugs
ITEM CODE: PG03446

10.28.2011
Bought the trunk power plug and installed it.
Product is ok and quality is good.

Only drama when installing was my hole-saw wobbled and the hold cut too big - but I fixed it by cutting the grips on the side of the socket and expanded them once
I pushed the connector into the hole and then applied silicone. (at least it's in the trunk lid and not for all to see).

Take my advice, drill out a piece of old plastic or very thin timber and test the connector fit before you drill your expensive plastic.

Good luck and a wise investment.

PS - remember, the outlet is always HOT - even with the ignition off...so mind you don't kill your battery..

Kuryakyn Chrome Luggage Rack w/Rubber Inlay for GL1800
ITEM CODE: KU7151,   SKU: KU7151

This looks awesome on my Black Goldwing.

Watched the video, read all the feedback and followed the instructions. Measure twice, cut once and get a second set of eyes to make sure it's all square / straight.

Installation was an absolute breeze.

Also took the opportunity to install a 12v plug in the trunk lid and tidy up some wiring from my handle/brake light.

Cool Rider Beverage Holder

Great Cup,I have a 08 Pearl White GL. So the HI-Gloss Black reflects very well. I have the perfect cup for it, have not the opportunity to use it yet though. Water bottles ride great, barely a shimmer (pending road conditions).

Alternative Device Mounting Bases
ITEM CODE: PG24682

10.27.2011
There is NOTHING better than RAM mounts when it comes to versatility.

I installed a single ball on LHS (clutch) and a double ball on RHS (brake) and purchased a variety of arms and attachments.

Versatility is most evident if you have multiple vehicles + devices and you can transfer from bike to car and vice versa.

Do yourself a favour and purchase a lock for anything you connect to your bike...stops the opportunistic thief....
