I bought these based on recommendations by other Wing riders saying I needed some Highway pegs. I'm 5'10", 186 lbs and a 32" inseam. I've not been uncomfortable with using just the pegs that came on the 2012 Wing. Anyway. These seem well built but somewhat pricey. They are about the right length for my inseam. My legs are extended but not "locked" out in full extension. I gave it 3 stars primarily due to the HORRIBLE instructions. The instructions state there is right and left specific parts but they do not label the parts or show a picture to help decide which is right and which is left. I had to put them completely on, on the left and then on the right side. Then, I GUESSED at which one looked more right (still unsure). I googled and studied pictures to help see what looks right. I can't say enough how terrible the instructions are.
Seems well built. I got the large size. The only negative is it looks large on the bike. It seems to be a very usable size. I can put my large Chic-fil-a cup of sweet tea inside this cup while still in it's original cup. The problems with other cup holders is the cup/bottle/etc needs weight to stay in the holder. The cup/bottle/etc flies out of the holder while riding if it is not full. This is the best one I've used so far.
Seems kinda pricy for what it is.. Easy install. I put loc-tite on the retainer screw. The retainer screw is on the down side when the kick stand when it is in the up position. In theory this will make it easier for the screw to fall out. All-in-all I like it. Looks nicer and is easier than trying to place a foot under the kickstand all the time. I recommend it!
I bought these from the Honda Dealer for my 2012 Wing. Dealer charged be 2 hours labor for the install. I also changed the 2012 crowl to the 2010 so that there would be round lights in a round hole. The lights look nice in the crowl. However, they do NOT offer much in the way of added light. I've not had experience with other lights to compare to. These light up about 50 feet directly in front of the cycle but do not help light up anything further out. I'll probably change to something better in the future.
Cheap and easy install. I installed mine on the front, inside of the trunk. I have the 2012 so the Nav system box is there as well. Because of this, the net doesn't hold much. I keep my Owners Manual in a plastic Zip-lock and secured behind the net. Keeps it from sliding around in the trunk. I considered installing it on the back of the trunk (like in photo above). Since the back of the trunk is more shallow, I think it would probably hold less.
Reasonable price and easy install. This model has holes for the attachment points. Some others (Tulsa) have a "V" cut-out instead of the holes. The "V" would probably be easier to install. I ended up removing it. I worried the Honda Dealers would charge extra if they had to work on my cycle; claiming it was "more work". I'm also unsure if it is really "needed"... [Logic] My car is about the same height off the road, has an exposed oil filter, and it doesn't need any extra protection.... Just a thought.
Nice addition to add a bit more chrone
Gave it 5 stars because it works so well and stays put
Picks up a lot of shavings that would have been foating around in the motor.
Love the extra bling yo the bike
My wife Sandra loves them and she can fall asleep on the bike and not worry about falling off
adds a real nice addition to the bike
