I installed on a 08 GL1800 to the instructions and the harness did not do what they clain it will do ! It turns trunk lights into running and blinkers only ! So I put the inside trunk lights back to OEM, Now I have inside running and brake and outside running and blinker. You can acheive this same outcome with alot less harness and for half the price if you choose "Electrical Connections harness" ! I have two other wings to do and will not waste money on this Harness again. |
| What a difference these bearings made. No wobble at all and steady as a rock. This repair gave me the sport feeling back into the wing. Interesting that after only 6500 miles, Honda would not work on the steering stem under warranty. When I went into the stem, I found that the lock nut had never been torqued and it was finger loose. Thanks to Wingstuff for having a fix. |
| After i took a closer look at the package, the one they sent me was for wins from2001-2005.So i will try to get the right one sent to me and hope that it will fit... |
| Installed it this afternoon in about 2.5 hours. Most difficult part was break the bolts (should of did it when it was up on stand) but did use the quarter trick for the spring. Recommend the brake spring tool and the 8mm hex socket.. had to use mallet to loose them. Difficult part was the spring...my quarters fell out...after install..tried it a few times, was a bit shaky, but after that was great. I made the mistake of not removing my carpet I normally park my bike on...It fits fine in the slot for the muffler...this is going to save my back.....and extend my riding days...after a few more trips and parks under the belt, I will write again. |
| I put this on before my wife and I took our 3600 mile trip from Milwaukee to El Paso, San Antonion, through OK, and Missouri, Illinois, New Mexico. Had never had a backrest on any of our trips to the west coast, east coast or southwest. This is a great. Comfortable. No high backache when putting on long miles. Absolutely satisfied. Can't wait to get back on the open road. This does the trick. Cutting into the seat is a bummer, but it all worked out for the best. |
| I purchased 2 sets for the front of my trike to replace originals. 6,000 miles and working great. Easy install. Would highly recommend. |
| I have used this cover since June in the hot Florida weather and found it to be great. It does not look very comfortable, but it really fools you. Highly recommend. |
| I bought this for my 2008 wing doesnt even come close to fitting.Might work on other years but not on mine very dissatisfied with it.Dont waste your money if you have a 2008....It would be a nice add on if it worked!! |

My son and I installed these on my 2012 about 2 weeks ago. Took us 4 hours. The instructions need to be tossed into the trash can. Get your service manual out or send them back and get chrome stick on covers. Of all the accessories I've installed on my 8 gold wings that I have owned I would have to say this one was the hardest. Looks good after it's installed. Giving it a 1 star rating,,,worst instructions I have ever seen. |

I installed the Swoops on the trunk today, No problems. They require a steady hand when you start to stick them on,, only get one try. The wires coming out the end should be flat instead of round. Would make things a bit easier. The only problem I'm starting to have is with the six pin connectors. I have a total of twenty of them now located on the rear of the bike and it's getting difficult to find locations to secure them and keep them dry. It would be nice to have a six pin manifold with several receptacles where you could just plug in the accessories and not use all the Double "Y" Adapters I give it a five star rating,,,, great product. |

I installed these yesterday on my 2012 with no problems. They are bright and look great. Instructions were good. The only problem I'm starting to have is with the six pin connectors. This is highway robbery by J&M. I agree with the others that this should be included with the headset or sold for much cheaper. We tried using one of the older cords that looked the same, but the pins are different (8 instead of 5) on the J&M Elite 629 headsets. The cord hooked up and works great on our '12 wing. |
