Thinking of adding to no vented windshield. Did not come with any cutting directions. Staff at wingstuff says it's a replacement not for a modification. Need to rethink my plan. May return it due to this.
So far works well. Won't misplace cap.
Well made, easy to install and so much more comfortable than the stock pegs on the Goldwing non- tour DCT.
I already own the Neotec II so it was a given that I would try the J-Cruise II. I purchased the SRL Mesh unit last year and removed it from the Neotec II, put the SRL back in, and the J-Cruise II got the Mesh unit. As with the Neotec II, the helmet fits amazingly well. The lack of a pinlock shield does seem odd. The helmet seems amazingly quiet for an open face. The SRL Mesh works great with it. No issues hearing or speaking with the clear shield open, and I'll preface that with being on a 2018 Gold Wing. While high in price, I'd recommend this helmet to anyone looking for a higher end, well built helmet.
Do it yourself easy installation that looks great on bike!
I snagged this while they were on sale. Glad I did. Good quality and should last the lifetime of the bike. They look good.
If you have huge meat hooks, you really need to find someone with small hands and skinny wrists / arms to change these out. The low beams were fairly easy. Check out Chris Caliente's YouTube video on how he heated a small Phillips head screw driver to burn a hole in the inside plastic fairing so you can zip-tie the rectangular module instead of using the 2-sided tape. For the high beams...you'll have to remove the instrument cluster. There are YouTube videos showing you how. But, they don't show you how to disconnect the 2 speaker electrical connectors and the instrument cluster electrical connector, so make sure you figure them out (there are so many different types of electrical connectors on these Wings, and seems as though they each release a different way). With removing the old bulbs and installing the new ones, EVERYTHING is done by feel...it's almost impossible to get a flashlight up there to see what you're doing.
Although a bit pricey, this was a great upgrade to my 2008 GW! The bulbs can be easily changed-out in about 45 minutes. Be very careful of the license plate light so that you do not push the receptacle back into the trunk, cause if you do, you'll be tearing your trunk apart to fix it (trust me, found out the hard way). But, replacing the relay is probably a 3-hour job. Reserach YouTube to find videos on how to do it. Do NOT try going through the dash...remove the windshield and go through the front. Make sure you mark which bolts are longer than the others & which take the Phillips screws versus the Allen screws. If you're going to install or replace fog lights, this is the time to do it (while you have the front end tore apart).
This product seems well made and was easy to install. It worked well on our first trip and I am glad I purchased it.
really like it, brighter than i thought. turn signal is awesome. great addition for extra lighting. course it should come stock.
I bought the Bridgestone combo for my 2018 Gold Wing, and they're fantastic! The price was good, and they arrived in just a few days. I'll be ordering again.
I just installed the Omni Highway Pegs and do like them. However, I wish I could avoid using the Pivot Arms and attach the foot Pegs directly to one of the three mounting points. Any of the points are probably sufficient for the majority of users. Or a shorter Pivot Arm with One to Two inches of length to keep the foot pegs from looking like Deer Antlers when folded up. They’re not a classy look on a beautifully designed Goldwing in that position. I ended up switching the Left and Right foot pegs along with the Clevis Adapters to allow the foot pegs to fold Horizontally Backwards. This makes more sense, looks better, and just push out when you put your feet on them. The only drawback to that orientation is the Clamping Bolt which is now visible on the top side. But I feel that’s insignificant and nobody will notice that detail. Imagine how classy they would look with a direct mount and no Pivot Arm? I contacted Kuryakyn about this idea but never heard back. No surprise there! I ended up making (2) two inch long pivot arms that allows a little positioning and horizontal folding for storage. They look so much better on the bike both in use and folded backwards and not straight up in the air! I wish I could attach a photo but Wingstuff reviews don’t allow that option.
