I bought these black grips with the weighted ends about a year ago. They were relatively easy to install, they look nice and they are comfortable. Shortly after installing them I posted a review on this site which basically had these same comments and also noted that they do not get nearly as warm as the stock grips and they take longer to heat. I’m disappointed to see that review has been removed from the site. After riding with these grips for about 9 months I decided to remove them since it was getting cold again and I prefer the high heat available from the stock grips for those days when I don’t want to wear my heated gloves. After removing the grips I can give you a better estimate of the heat you will receive. With these grips the MAXIMUM heat I received was equivalent to the heat received from setting #2 on my 2008 GW standard grips. So if warmth is important, try setting your handlebar heat to #2 to see if it is providing you with enough heat before you buy these because that is all you will get with these if you have the same experience I did. I like the comfort of the larger grip so much I will likely reinstall these next spring but I am disappointed in the lack of heat that is transferred and the lack of clarity on how much heat is lost by installing these. |

Like many other reviewers I bought this because I have the Kuryakyn floorboards which I love but require a kickstand extender unless you want to lift the left floorboard to put the kickstand down. I read the reviews before buying and decided to do so based on the assumption I would apply the red Loctite. The Locktite worked for about 1,000 miles before the extended portion began to swivel. I was able to resolve the issue by drilling a hole through the area where the two pieces connect and then placing a screw into the hole. I drilled from underneath and was careful not to drill the entire way through to the top for aesthetic purposes. I then used a screw that was much longer than needed and cut it to be flush with the bottom of the extender after inserting it using Loctite. Since the screw head has been removed you can’t tell it is there unless you crawl under the bike and look closely. I now have over 15,000 miles without issue. I wouldn’t buy these again if there was another better option but I haven’t found one and was able to get these to work after about ½ hour of work. |
| I purchased this cup holder about 2 years ago and I wouldnt leave home without it. I found 2 mugs that fit the holder perfectly 1 is the 16 oz wawa mug [you have to remove the rubber thing on the bottom half of the cup. It slides off without any trouble.] The other is the 18 oz bubba mug. Looks good wont rust and its perfect for me on those chilly mornings with a good hot cup of coffee within arms reach. Excellent purchase. |

My 1980 GL1100 seems to have a ~6mm diameter drain on the final drive; The socket size for the plug (stock) is 10mm. I just installed the one I bought for the oil last change a couple weeks ago. I would really like the magnet plug for the final drive, but I don't think boring out and re-tapping the final drive drain hole is a good idea. Just to make sure of this, I searched and found photos of the GL1100 final drive, and indeed, the drain plug is probably 1/2 the size of this plug. So now I have a spare for the oil. |

| The bag looks well made and very useful. Have had it for a year before I actually used it, and one of the straps ripped out the first day on the bike. It did stay put with the three remaining straps. I will be contacting wingstuff to see if they will exchange it. |
| My old rotor covers with ring of fires attached to outer edges were looking really shabby so I upgraded them with these. Then I bought brand new Boogey Lite Blue TNT light strips and mounted them along the inside edges of these new rotor covers. I also ran the TNT lights directly up to one of my LED switch positions mounted on my right fluid resevoir. Now I have a great sleek look with plain chrome rotor covers and can now turn the lights on and off at my discretion. Get lots of great comments. |
| What can I say. Almost 15,000 miles on my last set of Avon Cobras and smooth ride all the way. Love them!!!! |
| got my today and i hope its all you all say. hope i don't ever need it but its nice and small. has a great case too. i pick this one cause it will attach 3 different ways. ride safe and smart it the holidays. happy holidays to all JIM |
