| great deal. took only about 30 min to install, only confusion I had was the instructions said to use a 5/8 paddle bit for holes and the kit came with a 1/2 inch. I measured the spacers, and you need to drill a 5/8 inch hole. Great looking, now I need to see if they really work. :-) |
| I bought them because I have never liked the black headlight trim pieces. I followed Larry's advice and cut the trim piece after breaking the black piece out for the third hard to reach screw. They look great but plan on a long process of loosing the nose fairing and re-installing. I also replaced the air filter since I had it that far apart. |

As you can tell from my previous review below, I like the dolly. So much so I bought another one for my son's VFR. I was surprised to see that his was painted a bright yellow (nice) and had different caster/wheels on it than mine from 3 years ago. My original (?) dolly has the dual wheel with the dark grey colour stand. It moves around fine. However I decided to put my Goldwing on the new one with a single wheel (as shown in yellow/photo) and WOW...it is even easier to roll around! It's like the dolly has power steering now! As usual, be very careful to have an absolutely clean floor when moving it around. And when you want to change directions (i.e. from moving the bike sideways to going backwards), gently push it so it allows the wheels on the dolly to realign otherwise your bike CAN go flying off the dolly...not fun! Always keep your sidestand down for precaution and if you find it moves when putting the bike on the dolly, use a wedge like I do sometimes. I also ensure to put the bike up on the dolly using my heavy duty riding boots as it helps to reduce the pressure point of the centre stand tab where you press down. I can't lift my bike up with my running shoes on for instance. With the amount of weight (900+ lbs) on it on two very small points of contact, I am extremely pleased to see absolutely no deflection/bending of the platform whatsoever. A bit more effort of course to get the bike on the dolly but there's no way I could store 2 bikes in my tiny garage with 2 cars without these versatile and well built dollys (dollies?). And remember: MADE IN THE USA. |
| My only gripe is the spacers were to small so I could not put the plastic clamp cover back on. |
| Got this for my co-pilot. It is nice and can quickly be added and removed. It is sturdy, keeps bottled water and different size cups. |
| Had these on for a while and never reviewed. Its been about a year and they still look brand new. Easy to install and they look good. |
| Installed on a 2012. Took about 45 minutes and the fit was good. They are very sturdy and they do not have to swing out to open the trunk. Looked at the chrome becuase of earlier post and everything looked good. Happy with the purchase. |
| The install took about 30 minutes. Take your time removing the trim. I replaced the hand wings for better protection from the wind and it does the job. |
| A lot like the others I was a little hesitant with the purchase but I have to say well worth it! Installation was easy as I already had the old one off and waiting the the FEDX driver, within minutes installed and I was off. If you need a replacement this is the place to order. It seemed thicker than the original very happy and should I ever need another one I know where to go. |
| I backed into a concrete pedestal and damaged on of the saddlebag moldings. The cost for both this trunk and saddlebag set is less than replacing the damaged painted molding. After reading all the comments about cracking the mounting hole prongs, I followed another reviewer suggestion and I tap each hole on the moldings, then tested the screw on each hole prior to mounting. That made the install easier. If you try to put the OEM screws without prepping the molding holes first you will probably crack them. |
| I installed the "wide" version on my 05 GL1800 as I wanted to keep the stock width of the bars. After the installation, I set out on a 10 day 3300 mile road trip and I must say that they do provide a more comfortable ride. I think the biggest improvement is that you can actually set back against your drivers backrest in a more relaxed posture without that burning feeling between your shoulder blades when you ride long distances because your reaching for the bars somewhat when they are in the stock position. I'm 5'11" with a 30" arm length(armpit-finger tips)and my wing retains the stock seat with a Kury backrest. I really wasn't sure that I would get any benefit out of installing this kit, but I am now glad I did. I had no trouble during the installation with throttle cable or hose lengths. Everything went smoothly. You will need some small black "zip ties" to re-secure all cables/hoses as you may have to cut off any existing ties in order to move the bars up & back. If your using your wing for long distance riding or touring, and depending on your size, you may get a lot of benefit out of this kit or maybe not because everyone has their on personal preference on comfort. |

Ordered on a Wednesday, should have a Friday delivery but UPS claims that all They were given was the paper work. Here it is Saturday , 86 degrees out, sunny & my wife and I are stuck at home. This will be my second set at two years the rear tire had a belt break creating a bulge , lucky it did not blow. They wore better than Avon's or the E3's.Wing stuff customer service kinda blew my off, would not investigate my problem. |
