About:
I got my first motorcycle in 1965. It was a Tohatsu 50. How things have changed. My first long distance trip on a motorcycle was in 1966 on a Honda Super 90. Fuel was $.29 a gallon and I was able to get 100 miles to the gallon. I rode from Missoula, Mt. to Tacoma, Wa. and back. It was a 510 mile trip each way.
My next bike was a 1968 Honda CB 160 and then I went to a 1976 Honda XL 100. Before the wing I had a 1978 Honda CX 500. I kept it for 29 years. What a bike for it's time.

Premium AGM Sealed Westco High Amp Battery for GL1800 GL1800 Premium AGM Battery

This is a follow up review of the Westco Platinum Battery. My original stock battery lasted 5 plus years. I decided to try this battery as a timely replacement. I have had it in service for 2 years now and it just barely holds enough charge to start my wing after sitting for even 2 days. I use the same battery tender on this battery that I used on the original battery when the bike will not be ridden for a week or so. I have also been noticing a fault during start-up with my cb since this battery has shown itself to be "weak". Maybe I just got a lemon of a battery but Wingstuff was good in assisting me in acquiring a replacement battery. No more faults while booting up the electronics with the new battery. Great customer service from Wingstuff. Thanks Guys. |

Solid Battery
This is my first Westco Battery, but it appears to be well made. It came with a full charge [I put a trickle on it before install and the charger went to float after about one minute]. There are two spacers shipped on the positive pole protector that I had to use between the battery and the battery cable on both the positive and negative terminals. Otherwise the battery cable connector hits on the top edge of the battery preventing proper mounting allignment. I have a 2007 Wing and otherwise the fit was like a glove. If the battery were to come with some minimal instruction on the use and placement of the spacers that would probably alleviate some of the confusion and frustration that I have read in other reviews. It did take about 10 days to receive the battery but that's probably not bad since the battery was drop shipped from Westco and had to be shipped via ground. Not nearly as fast as Wingstuff normally gets parts to us. |
Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers for GL1800

I installed these on my 2007 wing and experienced the same favorable advantages that others have written about. When I installed the rubber bumpers I sprayed them and the hole with some "Original Spray Cleaner Polish" pn. TR530396 and they went through the hole fairly easily especially if I wiggled the bumper a little. The spray polish also works well to install and aids in removal of the side covers when sprayed on the rubber gromets. |
Gen 2 Chrome Fork Brace for GL1800

I installed the Ku 7339 Gen 2 fork brace in 2011 and noticed an instant more solid feel in the front end of my 2007 Wing. I have not experienced the wing wobble on that bike so I cannot relate to that issue. The install was easy and straight forward. One side of the bracket was a bit snug but it did fit after some persuasion. A solid nice looking brace with built in dust covers. |
Lighted LED Red Lens Trunk Molding for GL1800

I installed these several years ago and they have held up well and are a great looking accent to the bags at night. The install was easy but one suggestion that I would make is to slightly warm the attachment screws with a propane torch or match [unless you are installing during hot weather] as mine had a tendancy to want to split the plastic that the screw goes into. Be carefull to just warm the screws so that they are very warm to the touch-too hot and they will damage the plastic. |
11x16 Receiver Cooler Rack

I have used this cooler rack now for several years and about 15,000 miles. It is made of aluminum so it is very light weight but has held up very well. It sure is nice to be able to have an extra place to carry a cooler and such. It can be easily removed when needed and all you see is the hitch on the back of the bike. |

Centramatic Stainless Wheel Balancers for GL1800

After reading the reviews and grumbling about the price I purchased a set of these balancers. I had about 7000 miles on my original tires and had noticed some cupping especially in front. After installing the Centramatic balancers I also noticed as others have how smooth the ride is and confident the cornering has become. There is no vibration or wobble what so ever. I have put about 600 miles on the Wing since the balancers have been installeh and the cupping is evening out. |
Mini Arms for Ergo II Highway Footpegs

The Mini Arms look and work well. I am 6'2" and they do make quite a difference in my ability to stretch out for greater comfort. It is too bad that these were not offered from Kuryakyn as an option for taller people when I bought the Highway pegs originally. |

Nice addition to the chrome look. Holes lined up well and installed in minutes. The mfg.must have addressed the shrink packaging as mine unwrapped easily. |

I ordered two of these for my 2007 wing. I installed one in the engine and had intended to install the other in the final drive drain opening and to my suprise Honda beat me to it. I saw a comment on placing a circular magnet on the oil filter - great idea also. |
Fairing Pouch w/Gold Wing Logo

I purchased two of these about 8 months ago and finally decided to drill the holes in the fairing doors. I installed one each on the left and right doors on my 2007 Goldwing. The Pouches are well made and the additional storage is great. They are easily removable and do not seem to interfere with the fairing door operation. |
