Join WingStuff owner, Rick Arnoldo, as he rides some of the best roads that California has to offer in our series, Rick's Rides. Some renowned and others a bit more obscure, they will be roads that remove you from the hectic pace of city life and move you on an adventure! In each episode, Rick will reflect on the ride and give the viewer an up close look at what the road has to offer.
In this episode, Rick's Rides heads up to the Palomar Mountain Loop with a few stops along the way. First, he takes the back roads of Temecula and Murrieta and encounters some unexpected wildlife. Then he makes his way to Old Town Temecula and spends some time walking Front Street, taking in the Wild West Era architecture and browsing the stores. Sometimes he likes to stop at Pachenga Casino, have the all you can eat crab legs at their buffet and play some slots before heading out. Once he gets to the top of Palomar Mountain, Rick will often take a break at Mother's Kitchen and make new friends. The Palomar Observatory is also up there and, if you haven't already, you might want to check it out. Some days, once he's finished the loop, he'll say to himself, "I'm not done yet," and he'll go back and do it all over again!
Those are some awesome aerial videos you took. Did you have to use a drone to do it? Did you have the other person riding with you running the drone as you rode through the areas so that he could video you ? Looks like one mighty awesome ride!
I grew up in San Diego and spent many camping trips as a kid up at Palomar! I have returned a few times since moving to Central California to motorcycle camp with riding buddies on our Wings! This video was great and reminded me it is time to plan another trip! Riding up and down is everything Rick gives testimony too!
