Best Backrest going
| I bought this backrest in preparation of a cross country trip coming up in July and October. And so far I love it, you can really relax your arms because of the support of your back and the backrest itself help my lower back. Update
| I made an adjustment that seems to work so far. I reversed the two bolts on the connection so that the fork shape seat mount slides down behind instead of the front and that gave me almost 1/2 an inch. We will see how it goes but it’s a lot better. |

Not So Smart (Adjustable)
| First of all I know I have to get used to it but some things to consider are that I was hoping for a rest that would be an extension of the lumbar but this one will not go that low. It also should be adjustable back more. For me it's about a half to a full inch too far forward at its furthest back. Remember as well that when you use a backrest the protective spine on you jacket can be a little uncomfortable. |

Great fit for me
| WELL, I WAS SURPRISED I HADN'T REVIEWED THIS ITEM- AS I SAID IN MY TITLE IT IS A GREAT FIT FOR ME, NOT TOO BIG,& NOT TOO SMALL FITS JUST RIGHT ,LOOKS GREAT TOO. THE NEW REMOVEABLE DEAL -I DON'T IF IT WILL FIT ON THE SMART BACKREST I'LL HAVE CK & SEE. SO YEA CK THIS THING OUT. |

Great Product

I had the other backrest on the bike,the one with the bars that attach to the passenger handles. It would not stay in position and could not adjust the rest up or down nor would it stay forward enough for me. Always would work itself back to the max position. Decided to order the one that goes thru the seat. Man what a better backrest! Once you get over cutting your seat, its a snap to install and has more versatility as far as adjustment for the driver, plus it gives the passenger more room that the one with the bars. Love it. |

This was a lot easier to do than the instructions looks . The only scary part is the cutting of the seat. Looks great and find it very comfortable. Did it with my wife {extra hands}and did not take long . |
