Vstream SE windshield

Perfect
| Well the new windshield works just fine for me I just have to sit up more straight now so I can see over the shield instead of through it. I guess this is all good, we'll find out on my first long ride. I definately do not like looking through the windshield. I'll write more later. |

Good performance & quality
| I have no comparison as this shield was installed on my wing at purchase. It seems to provide very good buffeting reduction, no backdrafts that I can tell. Holds up well under semitruck wind blasts, etc. After 13k mi, it shows minimal signs of wear, pitting/ scratches, or any defects. No shield will completely eliminate buffeting..it is a motorcycle after all ;-) I would buy this shield again. |

I've gone through numerous shields for my wing & in the end i decided that a standard size F4 OR this Quantum SE are the best for me & my wife (passenger). I'm 6'2 & have no complaints regarding buffeting or windnoise with the Quantum SE. My wife SLIGHTLY preferred the F4+4, but i could not stand looking through the shield or the constant fogging up in cool weather. Saying that, she really likes the Quantum & has never complained of helmet buffeting or microphone noise. So, the Quantum gets 5 stars for looks, stability, build quality & functionality. It is costly, but worth it. |

| This windsheild is not worth the money. I waited and put about 3500 miles on it.The vent is too high even with it down it blows in your face. I was on a trip down south and hit a little rain. It blows off the top right into your face. The wind seems worse than the stock windshield. When it's all the way down it's higher than the stock windshield and you can't see over it as well. I gave it a 2 because it does look nicer. But i would buy a stock one for about half the money. The passenger does not see any difference in this windshield either. Feels it is overrated! |

Functional result : Can't feel any difference, Ime 6'2 and honestly no change. Maybe there will be for any passengers I may have but.... Looks : Beats the standard windshield, I wasn't even dissapointed I felt no change because it actually looks very good. Installation : My mechanic did it while the lid was being taken off anyway. |

Received the windshield quickly and well packaged. The product appears to be of very high quality and fit perfectly into position. The instructions were mediocre at best so check out the videos on YouTube for a smoother install. Now about the performance. Up to 40 MPH there seemed to be little difference from stock. Around 50 MPH there was a slight but noticeable difference from stock. From 60 to 80 MPH is where I noticed the most performance difference over stock. The buffeting level changed very little between those speeds and I would describe that as very good performance indeed. My rider describes the difference over stock about the same as I but, as usual, with the rear riding position having slightly more turbulence than the front. Over all, on a scale from 1 to 10 with the stock windshield being a 7 I would rate the Quantum Special Edition a 8.75. I gave it a one star penalty because the extra thickness made the height adjustment much more difficult(but not impossible). I am a set-it and forget-it kind of guy so that is not a big deal for me personally. Plus, I believe the extra thickness might contribute to it's performance because of less edge deflection. I dought there is a windshield made that eliminates all turbulence so don't expect that from this one. Is it worth the extra money over the std. VStream? I don't know but it sure is pretty. | Just installed this windshield a week ago, and love it!! It seems to push the air a little further out so there isn't any turbulent around my helmet. The real test is next weekend with my SO on the back. She will tell me how much better it is. I hope she likes it...... |

| I am not impressed with this windshield. The windshield is almost identical to the factory one as far as ride comfort. The wind noise was only slightly lower. It's almost impossible to raise/lower the windshield because of the thick foam pad used for installation. I moved the windshield too far forward in an attempt to raise it and scratched it in one place. Installation instructions could use some help. I watched the F4 windshield install on youtube and that helped a lot. I hope the F4 windshield is better. ;) |

| Installation was easy. Clarity is good with no distortion except near side where the "step" is formed. I really liked lookd of this windshield over others I've looked. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because height adjustment is harder than stock. Windshield doesn't slide as well I think because it is a little thicker than stock. |
