I had before Belly Pan without vented louvers. I think cooling was not sufficient. With this Belly Pan there is no more problem with the cooling. It is easy to install it and gives good protection of the engine. |

Definitely finishes off bottom of the bike! Some of the edges are sharp, so wearing some gloves is probably a good idea. Installation took me about 20 minutes, but I was careful not to slice my hands while pulling off the protective white film. |

very good product, simple install only took 30 minutes. reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the front panel just lays inside the front cowl unattatched. i know some reviewers said this does not cause a rattle but to me it should still be attatched. i am going to get some fastners and install them on my own. |

After reading other reviews I purchased this belly pan. Installs in 10 minutes and gives good protection for the front and bottom of the Goldwing engine. It gives you a warning when bottoming out on driveway curbs. |

Installs in about 5 minutes. It looks great on the bike, and the added protection it affords is a real plus. Oil changes are a breeze as well, front portion removes easily for access to the drain plug and filter. |

I agree with Tommy's review with one addition Holy Razor Blades!! Before I realized that I should be wearing gloves I had blood all over the belly pan. Please remember to wear gloves or have a box of bandages close by. |

Installs easily in 15 minutes if you know to pull out and flex the lower covers so the pan can be slid over the bolts, then attach the front part to check forward/aft adjustment before tightening. Instructions do not tell you how to get the lower covers over the bolts, luckily I had read about this on the GL1800riders.com. |

YOU NEED THIS! I got the vented one because I was concerned with heat. Found out this was absolutely neccearry when I dragged the bottom on the ground at a campsite. I just bent back the fins and pulled out the grass. (A whole lot better than replacing the coolant bottle. |

Just replaced my old dented aluminum belly pan with this stainless steel vented version. Most people don't realize the plastic coolant tank on your Gold Wing is underneath your engine and unprotected. If you ride a GL1800 don't ride without a belly pan, it could save you thousands of dollars in repairs. Ride Safe! Ronnie |

As others have said, the pan is easy to install. Took me longer to get the protective covering off and bandage my fingers than to install it. Also as others have said, wear gloves. The edges are sharp and if you pull on the louvers to get it over the last bolt you’ll look like me with bandages on two fingers. |

I bought this pan too late> I'd looked t it and put it off. Then had to run over some unavoidable road debri that caused $1,100.00 to my 2006 GoldWing! The worst part was an oil leak, which of course we cannot have. It had cracked the transmission cover. This would have been prevented for $60-70. It is on my bike now. easy to remove front plate for oil changes. |
