Ultimate Back Saver
As the add said, put it on the center stand and never dismount, it’s awesome. Prior to purchasing the stand I pulled my back while putting my bike on the center stand, though I have had back problems for some time just means I should have purchased it long ago. As for reading some articles that said it was not very stable, I have not seen that issue as of yet. It was not difficult to switch out, the hardest part was removing the spring, and let’s not forget that the bolt on the throttle side has reverse thread where as the Allen bolt on clutch side removes by turning to the left, be sure to remember this when removing center stand. In all it took me about 30 minutes to do the swap, I will not own another bike without changing out the center stand. |

Must buy
I purchased this Ride off the center stand for the GL1800 because I have carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands, and placing my wing on the center stand had become impossible. This ride off-center stand has changed everything; it makes that task 70% easier. It takes IMO half the effort to place the bike on its center stand. I paid to have my local dealer install it because I did not have the required tools or think my hands could handle it. One of my best investments recently. So if you have trouble for whatever reason placing your wing on the center stand, this is your answer to that. |

Wish I had done this sooner
This already has plenty of positive reviews but DAMN do these things make a difference, im young but putting the bike on the old stand was a pain in the butt. This was super easy to install and they arent kidding when they say its a good 80% easier than what it was before. It pops right up on the stand with no need to grab anything other than the handlebars. Perhaps the modt worthwhile upgrade ive installed yet |

Easy on Easy off
This had to be the #1 item purchased for my 2008 Goldwing... I watched all the YouTube videos on just how easy it was to get my bike on its center stand with no luck, making me feel stupid each time... Today my bike gets on and off its new CRS center stand with easily without my feeling stupid... At 66 years old I'll swear things just got easier for me...You should remove the factory burrs and paint from the mounting holes with sandpaper and add grease before installing to get a fast and easy installation... |

Ride off center stand
I purchased this item to make it easier to place my GL1800 on the center stand for routine maintenance. The stand operates with ease. I was disappointed only by the reduced stability when mounting the bike. I weigh 230 and this stand is not as stable as the stock item. Otherwise, I really like the stand. |

Installed On An 2008 GL1800
Works as advertised. Easy up manual or by reversing and drive off in first gear. Little pricey but worth the budget hit to have a usable center stand. |

Ride Off Center Stand
Hello All: So far so good, as it eases the fight to get it on the center stand. Installation was about an hour but had to spray both the hex bolt and the right bolt with penetrating fluid. Using a ratchet breaker bar I used the 8mm Allen socket and the 14 mm socket for the right and used leverage to get them loose. Re installed per instructions but will suggest getting an inexpensive drum brake spring pliers set to install the spring. This too will give the leverage to install the spring, as you can slide it directly on the bottom peg. Now needing to learn the reverse mode of doing it and we're done! |

Works better than expected.
This stand works excellent and wasn’t to hard to install. Took about 20 minutes. Way easier to use than the stock stand. Better for my old bones. |

Ride Off Stand for GL1800
This is the second "Ride Off" centerstand I have purchased. The first was more than twenty years ago, for a GL-1500, which I used for many years, without any problems. This stand works like a charm, and is preferable to the original OEM centerstand, in my option. As others have indicated in their reviews, the difficult part of mounting this stand is actually getting the OEM stand off. Knowing that the right side, hex head, bolt is a reverse thread, and finding a way of getting enough leverage on the left side to break loose the socket head, Allen Head, bolt, is the key. I read a lot of reviews, here and on other sites, applied a lot on W-D 40, used leverage with a cheater pipe to extend the wrench handle, and then, with patience, I was able to get both bolts, and the return spring off successfully. The coin trick for the spring is genius and works well, both in getting the spring off and getting it back on, when reinstalling. Getting the new centerstand on is a piece of cake, as long as you are patient and take occasional breaks from turning each bolt,1/8 rotation at a time, for about a million revolutions. In the end, I wasn't bloody or disappointed in how the new centerstand fits on the bike. The foot pad does sit forward of where the OEM leg sat, but looks fine and works well. Getting the bike onto the stand takes, literally, about 25% of the effort required for the original stand. As long as you realize the limitations of this "balance" stand, compared the stability of the OEM stand, and only deploy it on a flat, level surface, you'll love your decision. |
