this an update on the Cobras, I removed my rear tire it was COMPLETLY DELAMINATED on the inside. don't I'll ever use Avon again!!! tried a 70 series rear Stone, will see how this tire wear's?? also changed the steering head bearings to All-Balls, that cured the "infamous front end wobble" |

These tires are fantastic!! A huge improvement over stock. The bike rides smother, tracks way better, and handles like a dream I come from a sportbike background so handling is key to me. These tires lean in with ease stick like glue and ride way smoother than stock. No noise from the tire and wear seems great so far. I only have 3,000 miles on them but I see no discernable signs of wear yet. Buy these tires you will like them. As for the guy with the loaded trailer that had a blowout I have a sneaking suspicion that the bike may have been overloaded in which case this could have happened to any tire. These tires are incredible and anyone that cannot notice the difference between these and stock must not know how to ride very well. Buy AND enjoy! |

I bought a set of Avon tires and they were the worst tires I have ever had. They wore very uneven and I had to replace them after just 8000 miles. I tried to get Some help on the replacement cost but no luck. I think I'll just stick to dunlops, Steve. |

Installed a new set of Cobras on different Wings, my 04 & my friends 05, prior to going to Sturgis this year. 5500 mi later both rear tires where severly cupped & out of round. we both used Dyna-Beads 2 oz in each wheel. I developed a terrible wobble @ 6k mi, bear in mind we rode mostly hi-way, 2 up, I towed my Bushtec Turbo. the pressure was maintained @ 41-42 psi in the rear tires. just orderd a rear Bridgestone 70 series rear. will you posted on the Stones, we are not aggresive riders. this is the 2nd set of Cobras that cupped. BTW, the front tires are like new, no cupping, neither bike has any suspension mods, pure stock. once I have the rear Cobra dis-mounted I w/ CAREFULLY check for delamination on the inside of the tire, I will then proceed from there. |

I guess I have finally found a really good tire. A very sharp handling tire and loves the curves. My bike is equipped with upgrade suspension and centramatics. The tires bring out all the good and compliment the entire ride. Nice tire Kit |

These tires are amazing for the first 8,000 miles. Silky smoothe quiet and handle like a dream in all weather conditions. They made the bike handle as if it was 100 pounds lighter. I ride 2-up conservatively. I check the air pressure all the time. I run the recommended 41 psi the manufacturer calls for. Overnight the low speed vibration showed up at about 10,000 miles. They tire still showed plenty of tread life, however the front was cupped and seemed out of round. The rear tire showed plenty of tread life left. I ran over something on the last 40 miles of a 1200 mile trip and had a flat rear. I was able to keep shiny side up and come to a stop. Call me crazey but it is unreasonable to think I should get more than 10,000 miles out of a set of tires. My wing came with Dunlaps got about 12000 miles out of them. Did Metzers got a little better but the noise in the turns showed up at about 10,000 miles. About the same life out of Avons. I'm going to try the Bridestones next. I let you know. |

One year ago and 13,442 miles I bought this tire I bought the sport one not the wide one but I have been happy with its performance. The threads are starting to show and very little cupping but I did watch the air pressure a lot. Also I have the cobra on the front also. I believe that makes a difference I also have the beads in the front tire but not the back. I will put them in the back this time. They made all the deference in the performance of the front end no wobble at all. I love the tire this is my 8th bike so you can imagine how many tires there has been. P.S. install the ceramic beads when you install the tire I could not install them after tire was on. This seams to be the safes tire I have ever used no slip even now. Take care keep the rubber on the bottom. |

After much debate and soul searching I went with the "wider" rear tire. And I am so glad I did. YES it does fix the "speedometer issue" also the 2-up handing is 10 fold better than with the standard tire. The Bridgestone Front tire also fixed my little wobble problem I had at low speeds with my factory tires. |

I still give these tire a 5 star, like my prevouis comment these tire are great. I have now 15,000 KM and the tire still look like new. I commute 1175 KM one way ridden in both good and bad condition. Tire handled great in both condition. I'll get you folk posted on how many KM I put on these tire, have a bit more time to ride before the end of the season. |

After putting 10k miles on these tires, under heavy rain and in hot and cold weathers, I must update my previous feedback about the Avons. 1. Tire mileage is great - 10k miles so far and more to go. Bridgestones usually live 12-13 k miles. 2. Wet road handling is excellent! 3. Highspeed handling is excellent! 4. Cornering - as I've mentioned before there's no better tire for cornering but Avon! 5. Handling on these tires is sharp unlike on E3. 6. These are defenetly quiet tires. All of the above is true in case you follow the recomended tire pressure 41psi front and 42 psi rear. Avon is very sensitive to the tire pressure, even 2 psi lower make noticeable difference. I wrote about low speed wobbling @ 5 mph - it has gone recently once I've pumped the tires to 43-45 psi according my tire gauge! I took 4 different gauges and all of them showed the different pressure - 5 psi gap! So IMHO - if you feel something wrong with your tire (wobbling, weaving etc), check the pressure with several gauges - yours might be wrong! My front tire already has the groove at the left side that made the handlebar to wobble @ 20 mph. It has gone too after pumping the tire to actual pressure! And sure, I have to mention that my bike has Traxxion front and rear and Seeley damper. |
