F4 Windshield is great
I previously purchased a Memphis Shades windshield, which was scratched right out of the box. I returned it and ordered the F4. Just gonna say, you get what you pay for! This windshield gas awesome clarity and so far no scratches. Seems to really be scratch resistant. If you need a windshield, but the F4! |

F4 Windshield
This windshield has made a great difference in the look of the bike as well as keeping down the glare. Can not wait for my long ride up the Blue Ridge Parkway and Sky Line to Gettysburg. |

F4+4 Tinted with vent
Nice item! I've always used the stock GL1800 windshield but it was never quite enough. I'm 6" 2" and I always had a little too much wind for my liking. This windshield solved that problem with the extra height and also the vent help direct air up even when closed. Installation was easy except for the removal of the old sticky tape (which has nothing to do with the F4 - it was an original Honda item). |

4 Stars
Ordered the clear F4 +2 with vent hole. Installation was a breeze the hardest part is removing the old tape and residue. Vent hole cutout is slightly big top to bottom as the vent can move around a bit once tightened in place. Packaging was beat up upon receiving but no damage to the product. Still to early in Alberta to ride but bike is ready to go now. Looking forward to see how windshield performs that is why only a 4 star rating. |

Too early to tell
Just got it installed, only able to take bike out once due to weather. So far the clarity is good. Ordered a +2 to replace my old +2. Old +2 seemed to be higher than the new one. I am having trouble with ability to adjust height. Is nice to be able to just spray Windex on windshield. Hopefully will get some better weather to really test it out. |

Can't wait to try it out
Took a little longer than usual on the shipping but no real problem as the snow prevents toodling bout on the bike. Made a call to Wingstuff and learned that manufacturer was waiting on the tinting ingredient.Consulted manual and removed the old windshield being careful to stuff the rabbit holes in case I dropped a nut or bolt. Once the existing windshield was removed I opened the package with my new F4+2 with vent hole. Shipping box was pretty beat up but the windshield was intact and no scratches.Got out the instructions read up to Step 11 "REMOVE the tape that the old windshield used to slide on. This was the tedious portion of the install as the old tape wanted to split apart and leave the adhesive part, took my time and peeled all ten verticals and the large horizontal and replaced with the soft velcro strips that were a tad short on the verticals and a little long on the horizontal but not a problem once I visualized the mechanics of the raising and lowering. The vent fits perfectly and the windshield mated up to the bike quite effortlessly as if the old windscreen was going back on.The new windshield at the lowest level is the same height as the old one fully extended this means I can see over at lowest setting have room to go a little higher as I have wanted to on occasion. The vent on the lowest position does not hang over the console and is more back into the dash which will help somewhat at keeping the rain from dripping down onto knobs and such. It is a little wider than the stock windshield so I suppose that's a plus on the colder days but a negative for the hotter ones. The tinting is not that dark and look forward to the effect it will have on headlights, I look over so no biggie and I can duck down for oncoming headlights.Looks nice really dresses up the Pearl White on my 2012 |

Install was easy and looking forward to the new windshield
The install (+4, tinted, w/ vent) was pretty easy on my 2012. I've replaced the windshield a few times so it wasn't anything really new to me. I did have the ratchet for the vertical adjustment get loose and not engage, but that is something I'll take care of later with some help. It's been too cold to ride lately but I did take it out for a spin and loved the clarity of the windshield and am looking forward to many miles and years with it. |

Imprefect fit to fairing; fairly easy to install except for the tape/Velcro
I just finished installing the windshield. I had previously swapped out a used windshield, but that was some years ago, so I consulted my Clymer manual on how to remove the windshield. The manual said "see CD" for the 2009 model. The CD said that the mirrors didn't have to be removed on my 'Wing, just push them forward and otherwise the same instructions as the 2000-2005 models.Anyway, I removed the old vent without too much trouble and then the windshield, placed all of the hardware on the driver's seat, carefully removed the plastic wrap from the new windshield and installed it in place of the old one. Before totally replacing everything, I noticed a gap on the sides of the new windshield that did not hug the sides of the fairing. The sides of the new one was not molded the same as the old one. Then I noticed a plastic bag with some black strips. I thought that was just a rubber gasket, which I didn't need. That's where my problems began. In the plastic bag were instructions for R&R the windshield and the black strips were multiple lengths of real Velcro, about an inch wide. The instructions said to remove the old tape and install the Velcro strips in their place. What tape?, I asked myself. Tape wasn't mentioned in the Clymer manual! Off came the new windshield. Ah, those things (they looked like black electrical tape). They appeared to be in good condition, but perhaps the Velcro in their place will help it seal better?I pulled off the old tape leaving a sticky, gooey adhesive that resisted scraping. I tried Original Bike Spirits cleaner, which did nothing. I tried mineral spirits with no effect. Lacquer thinner helped but evaporated faster than I could apply it. Reluctantly, I tried acetone and that worked the best, but scrubbing all of the adhesive off still took a good hour! The vertical Velcro strips were too wide, so I sliced them in half. The adhesive on them was very sticky. The Velcros are actually supposed to make it easier to adjust the windshield, but I'm vertically challenged (63 1/2"), so I won't be needing to raise the windshield except for cleaning. The Velcros partially close the gap, but this windshield doesn't perfectly fit against the sides of the fairing - two stars off for that. While installation is relatively straight forward, removing the old tape was a major hassle and while certainly not the fault of F4 Customs, I question the need to remove them. Had I noticed the instructions and Velcro before starting, I could have installed the new windshield in 2 hours instead of 3. Had I not removed the old tape, the R&R would have taken me an hour. Again, for the price, I am disappointed with the fit. It is not a perfect replacement for the original. |

Happy enough to buy my second one!
This is my second F4....4" model. I had about 75k miles on my other one...and it was still OK....but I wanted to change it out. These really don't scratch! And the over size model gives you awesome wind protection. Easy install. Worth the $$ |
