You and I need coffee to function, my wife needs a Large Raspberry Tea from Hardee's to put up with me. Now, I can go get the drink to soothe the beast using my Goldwing (just kidding dear). This took less than five minutes to install, holds BIG cups solidly and for me, provides great value. Hint - do NOT put the straw in the Hardee's cup. At certain speeds and wind direction, it will suck the tea out of the cup and all over you and your Goldwing. Don't ask how I know.
I just installed these yesterday so I haven't taken a LONG trip with them, but I can already tell these are one of the best investments in improving my Goldwing I could have made. Trying to ride for hours with my knees locked in one position made me sore when I'd get off the bike. Having an option for leg position will eliminate that. These were easy to install - watch the install video on the Wingstuff page for help. I suggest putting them together off the bike to make sure you know what bolts go where and the proper angles for everything. Then when you put them on for real, you can use Loctite to ensure everything stays put. I'm not a great mechanic but on a scale of 1-10 (1=my wife could do it, 10=you'd need to be a professional mechanic to install) these would rate a 3.
Love the smoke Lower shield look alone, larger than the OEM. And when you hit the higher speeds, plenty of deflection. For longer trips and inclement weather the extension shield is at 19 inches, completely eliminating buffeting and stinging rain. Never have to swap for a touring shield, just flip it up with a few quick adjustments. Installation in about 15 minutes if you know your way around and requires original shield rubber grommets or aftermarket purchase.
This is a well made component. Install instructions were good. The adjustable spring ball the allows the backrest height to adjust and remove, didn't work very well. The adjustment is either too solid to adjust/remove or so loose the backrest just drops to the bottom of the slot. Micro adjustments were ineffective. You either lock it in place or allow the too loose fit. Still not bad. The backrest pushed me a little too far forward for my liking-thats just me -not the fault of the product. Its a good solid backrest, it just won't fit me.....and its unreturnable.
I wish sites prompted customers for reviews after one year instead of after one week.It was the easiest install imaginable. The corner plastic tabs didn't fit the proposed hole location very well but it stays in place OK. I hope the plastic rivets are strong enough to withstand a good yank on the velcro closure. It should work just fine for me.
Carpets fit perfectly and are quality durable pieces for your bike. Love being able to save $$ with the purchase of the wingstuff version.
I purchased these tires for my 2015 GL1800 because of the $60 rebate, they were on the bike when new and I have had no issues with these tires. The only negative is the rear tire was worn out at 10,000 miles. I still have maybe 3,000 miles left on the front. My GL 1500 has Elite 4’ s with the same mileage and the tires look barely worn.
Very nice
These lights add much needed visibility to the front of the bike and the turn signal function make your intentions more known to other motorists. Easy install.
I can say I am disappointed. Disappointed in my self that I waited so long to buy these. I knocked the install out in a few hours with the help of my wife. (She was the organizer of parts and tool passer). The instructions came in two books. One was pictures for reference and the other was the instructions. The install was straight forward. The parts are high quality. I would recommend these to anyone and everyone.
They fit perfect and look good.
Again fast shipping and top quality. Thank you.
