Great looking rack! Had this installed about a year ago and have used many times. I never load more than about 10 pounds on the rack. I don't have the spoiler and don't plan on getting one, so I didn't get the risers. I think it looks better without them and I've had no problems with the trunk lid cracking or being able to clean underneath it.
This backrest looks great with the original seat. Makes those long rides more comfortable. This was the first extra I bought for the bike, worth every penny! 12,000 miles, no complaints.
Easily installs in the left fairing pocket. Drill a hole, push it in, then connect to OEM wiring plug. I noticed a slight buzzing when listening to my ipod thru my helmet speakers when the charger is plugged in. The noise is only noticeable during song breaks so it doesn't bother me.
I bought one of these to see if I could tolerate riding in the 110 degree heat here in Phoenix. Without much wind sitting behind the fairing of a Goldwing, the cooling effect is minimal. Opening the windshield vent just blows hot air in your face and not on your chest. I might try installing Baker Wings to see if that helps. Fits well under a mesh jacket and the slime goes away after a few uses.
Not only does this wrench work, but it lays flat in your toolbox. Less space is a good thing.
Easy fit, looks great. We'll see how well they transfer the heat once summertime turns into a cold Canadian autumn. I also find that the cruise control is more likely to remain engaged with these larger, more comfortable grips. The stock grips are mighty slender. The larger radius grip means less noticable palm rollover when you hit a bump.
I had a Vulcan Nomad for nine years and found the service manual essential. This Honda manual was my first extra for my '08 Wing. Truth is, you never go near 3/4 of what's in there, but for the other 1/4, its a bargain. Knowing torque values alone is worth the price of admission. If your going to own any bike for the long haul, either get a shop manual or let somebody else do the work -- especially with Goldwings.
Easy, clean fit. An instant eye-catching upgrade. I thought about adding the eyebrows as well, but the front trim alone looks great -- at least on my metallic silver Wing. Sometimes less is more.
I have the Ergo II lighted cruise boards. I had tried the 4 1/2" mounting arms but still had too little room to stretch out my legs. I too discovered the boards didn't bolt up properly to the arms due to the length of the adjuster. I cut a 3/8" length of 1/2" copper pipe for a bushing and it worked perfectly.
The bag has plenty of room and the attachment system seems adequate. Haven't had a chance to take a trip with it yet. I gave it 4 stars because the bag is so floppy and shapeless when it's empty. I might cement some rigid sides into it to help that. Overall good value.

Very nice chrome plated metal pieces. Note the picture, they do not mount evenly across @ the top but @ they do across the bottom. You need to take your time mounting these, lots of sticky pads on the ones I received. I am very pleased w/them. Thank you for your close up pictures of this product Red Rider. |
Agree with other positive reviews! Nice addition/attractive. Quick and Easy install. Remember to use something to keep the shift pin "extended/pulled out" when installing the toe/heal shifter on it. It will push in if not careful. Very Comfortable Boards! Took a week to get used to them and the "toe/heal" shift, but completely natural now. No regrets and a more stable feel under my feet than stock pegs.
