| This is my second review on this item, as I just had to replace this unit. Installed the original unit in Jan 2007. Device "died" after 21 months service. Would expect more out of a solid state unit. No shorts or blown fuses. It just failed. Fortunately, splicing or tearing into the rear harness area again was not necessary, as I confirmed continuity of the original wiring/connections (soldered) from the device output to the lights - all checked good. Then, I confirmed that I had brake light power going into the unit, but way too low voltage coming out of the unit on any of the wires from the device, hence, clearly, the device was not functioning. Since I mounted the original unit under the seat on the right side frame rail (nice vertical flat area to sick it to there), I removed the unit from where it was stuck to the frame, and cut the wires coming off of the old unit (close to the unit), and discarged the old unit. Also, rather than "splice" the wires from the new modulator onto the "cut wires" from the older unit, I installed a Female LP4 (4Pin) power connector (Radio Shack) to bike side wiring (the wires I just cut) and a male LP4 connector on the new modulator wires, for a "plug and play" connection should I ever have to replace it again, now that I know that is a possibility! I still love what the unit does! |

I had these pegs on my '08 for a couple of months now and I'm please for the most part. I'm 6 feet tall and they help me stretch out on long rides. Nice wide range of postions to use for various legs extentions and had only one time of the foot rest becoming lose. I simply check/tighen them once in awhile. They make the bike look even better. |

Caution!!!!!! Installed these levers. Ist ride out, no cruise control, had to push lever manually forward with fingers to to make contact with stop. Thought maybe did not lube enough. Think I read on a review about this problem. Went on 400 mile run, on return trip as I acellarated bike began to rev up and felt as if cluch was slipping. This happened several more times during ride. 20 miles from home cluch went out would not engage. Nursed it to safe spot in 2nd gear. Mechanic saids, cluch lever did not fully engage stop, levers milled incorrecly and left a 1/4 inch gap. Levers initial cost $30; cluch and trans work $700, lesson learned priceless. To be fair I have used "K' products before with no problem. But I will never use anything from this point on but original Honda parts on my "Wing " when it comes to mechanics. |
| I mounted the unit on the clutch side. Installation was very easy and the unit looks great! |

Great product! Not hard to install. I would not use it though for a 12vdc compressor; the circuit is to light. I am presently deployed in the sandbox until after Thanksgiving. While I am here I am having my wing converted to a trike. Per my request the company that is doing the trike conversion will be installing item EC02205 on a separate circuit and will be accessible from the Gold Wing OEM trunk. Roll Tide!! |

I was a little hesitant about getting these but after reading the other reviews plus I needed a few my $$$ for free shipping. Anyway, the installer of the trike conversation stated that this really added a positive accent to the bike. I can not wait to see the finish product. Roll Tide!! |

| Install was quick and easy, remember to use blue loctite to help keep them from comming loose. Have used them for about 10 weeks now am very happy with the quality and function of these Kuryakyn pegs. I must have for vacations. 9000km in two weeks! |
