| I have bought this unit but have yet to install it, first impressions on receiving the product are of the poor quality finnish. This is an expensive piece of kit, I would think that production quality needs to be stepped up dramatically and for instance a powder coated finish would be advantageous, will comment further once I have installed and road tested. |
| addendum...I have the dyna beads in these tires. I wonder if that might be why the rear is so bad? I doubt it. |

This is an update. With 3,500 miles on new Avons, I left for my annual trip around the Northwest Volcanoes. No trailer, only sidebags packed. At 4,000 miles, rear tire started making a bit of noise. Noticed light cupping (already?). Pressure at 42 PSI... I know the urban myth, that twisty roads burn off cupping. Well, I finished 3,800 miles of winding roads through Or, Wa, Id, Mt, back thu Or, and home to Norcal. My rear tire, at 7,300 miles is jumping around, LOUD, and the cupping is at least 1/2" difference one side of tread to the other. Checked pressure...41.5 PSI cold. My Metzlers never dupped this bad. Would change previous rating I gave, to zero stars, but front tire is like brand new, which tells me to try another rear and see. If it junks out, I am going back to Metz. At least there, I KNOW what I am buying, and they don;t have that poor slow speed `walk'. |
| Wow, talk about service. Wingstuff president Rick Arnoldo left me a voice message and followed up with an email this morning about the black snap caps I received with the chrome windwings. He explained that it was a snafu at bakerbuilt. They normally send out black caps with the black hardware and chrome caps with the chrome ones. They are replacing the black caps with chrome ones. Thanks Wingstuff and Rick. Your dedication to customer service is greatly appreciated! |
| Boards are great for SO, but like so many others have said "for the price that Kuryakyn charges, they ought to include all the parts". Sometimes you can sell or give the stock boards to someone to use but there are parts missing, duh! I put these on my '03 some years back and had the same problem with the left board being too loose, had to take a small piece of wire (12ga) & put under the spring. Tightens right up. Not too difficult to swap pieces, took about 1 hr. for install. |

I installed these Centramatic Continuous Wheel Balancers on my GL1800 and took a short 60 mile test ride afterward. I am totally impressed with how smooth my GoldWing rides now. The Installation was straight forward and the documentation that comes with the product is complete. The bike now tracks in the lane with zero effort and curves are smoother and there is no vibration in the handlebars. Excellent Product! -Dave Dragon Ride it like you stole it |

Update: just got back from a 6000 km trip through five western US States. My right hand would not have survived the trip without them. My hands were so much more comfortable than before - even after six hours of riding. Also had much better control of the throttle under slow going conditions, like in stop & go traffic. If you have large hands and a newer GW with heated grips - these are a no brainer. Trust me, they are worth the money, the time & effort to install them. Thank you Kuryakyn for making these, & WingStuff for selling them! |
| Update: just got back from a 6000 km trip through five western US States. Can't tell you how enjoyable this backrest made my back feel. Now I just need to get a custom seat made, as my butt was ready to fall off after six hours of riding - but my back was good. Can't go wrong with an Utopia - worth every penny! |
| Just received and installed the chrome / dark smoke wings. They went on a friends 2010 just fine. Only complaint was the chrome hardware came with black screw cap covers. I've emailed wingstuff to see if they can remedy with chrome caps to match the finish of the hardware. Will post more on resolution. |

Just received mine from Wingstuff and agree with the others, adds the look I have always wanted to the front of my GL1800 Gold Wing. Buy these, you will be glad you did. No other GL1800 accessory out there looks this good on the front of your Wing. Thanks Wingstuff!! John |
| Alright, I have had these installed for a few months now. I am very happy with them for all the reasons others say. BUT, the wires bothered me also. Yep, it would have been better to have then shielded in black shrink. HONESTLY, it only seems odd when you have your nose next to it when you install them. I never notice them at all, even when I am showing them off. Looks really sharp near my front fork LED reflector replacement that also signals in yellow! |
| High quality-easy to install. Just one question-Why the odd size for the flag? I would like to put another one on the CB atenna but would prefer either a Canadian or Christian flag. |
